Releases Big 100 list of Republican and Conservative Leaders supporting his re-election; names Ted Nugent as campaign chairman

th Commissioner of Agriculture also named his Re-election Campaign Chairman and released an impressive list of 100 key Republican and conservative leaders who have endorsed him for re-election in the 2018 Republican Primary and General Elections.
As Ag Commissioner Sid Miller cracked down on companies skirting laws meant to protect consumers. His Operation Maverick ensured places like pawn shops registered their scales for accuracy to avoid ripping off consumers. He increased gas pump inspections to make sure Texans get the quality gas they pay for. And thanks to Sid Miller every inspected fuel pump is checked for illegal credit card skimmers. His dramatic reform of the Texas Department of Agriculture has saved hundreds of thousands of dollars for Texas taxpayers.
Commissioner Miller also transformed the school nutrition program in Texas by eliminating state mandates improving local control and encouraging more farm fresh foods in school lunchrooms. He fought back against Michelle Obamas left-wing feel-good nutrition nonsense that created healthy trashcans instead of healthy kids. Instead he created Farm Fresh Fridays to connect Texas farmers with Texas schools so our kids get more local produce in the lunchroom.
Since taking office Sid Miller and his staff have visited every continent on the globe except Antarctica to promote Texas products. His historic visit to China led the way to opening the Chinese market to Texas beef for the first time in decades. During a landmark visit to Israel and the West Bank Sid Miller reignited the Texas-Israel relationship and was the first Texas Agriculture Commissioner recognized by the Israeli Knesset or parliament.

nd Amendment activist and National Rifle Association Board Member Ted Nugent as his Re-election Campaign Chairman. Nugent a resident of China Spring Texas also continues to serve as Millers campaign treasurer.
Ted Nugent is a freedom loving patriot and an outspoken defender of our constitutional right to keep and bear arms said Miller. Ted has stood by my side since 2013 and I am honored that he has agreed to assume the larger role of Campaign Chairman added Miller.
Miller noted that like him Nugent is a major social media influencer with over 3350000 Facebook and almost 335000 Twitter followers.
When you combine our Facebook followers Ted and I collectively reach millions of Texas voters every week on Facebook and Twitter Commissioner Miller said. There are very few Texans who have that kind of reach. I am proud to say that I have the most engaged social media family of any Texas elected official Miller added.
With his announcement Commissioner Miller also released an impressive list of 100 key Republican and conservative leaders who have formally endorsed his re-election campaign. Dubbed the Big 100 the list reads like a veritable whos who of Texas and National Republican leaders past and present including state and national leaders like former Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst U.S. House of Representatives Majority Leader Tom Delay and former Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson.
The list includes two former Secretaries of StateGeorge Strake Jr. and Jack Rains as well as five former State Chairs of the Republican Party of Texas six former Republican Party of Texas vice-chairs six current or former Republican National Committee members five former chairs of the Texas Republican County Chairmans Association and most of the current elected members of the Texas State Republican Executive Committee.
I am so proud to have earned the support and endorsement of so many of our states most influential political leaders said Commissioner Miller. Together they have constituencies in the hundreds of thousands and include our states most politically active and engaged Republican Primary voters Miller added.

th. Miller said out of respect for all Texas veterans he will wait until early next week to officially file his candidacy for re-election as Commissioner of Agriculture. Miller is well-known for his Facebook posts honoring men and women of the United States armed forces who gave their life for their country.
He noted that todays release of endorsements is just the first and that additional major endorsements from other Republican leaders agriculture leaders and trade associations and from the states many Tea Party groups would be coming in the days ahead.
