Social Security Georgetown TX Office to Move 

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Today Social Security announced the Georgetown TX Social Security Office located at 104 Parkview is moving effective at noon on Friday May 18 2018. The office will open in its new location at 3010 Williams Drive Suite 150 Georgetown TX 78628 at noon on Monday May 21 2018.  Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday. The new location is just under two miles away from the prior address.  District Manager Bernard Thomason is enthusiastic about the move There will be more parking at the new site as well as a new office design featuring additional windows.  We are definitely excited and looking forward to serving the community at our new location. Most Social Security services do not require a visit to a local office.  Social Security also has robust online tools to help its customers navigate benefits and gather information.  People age 18 and older may sign up for a my Social Security account at www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount.  With a my Social Security account Social Security beneficiaries and Supplemental Security Income recipients can now access their benefit verification letter (which serves as proof of income) payment history and earnings record instantly. Social Security beneficiaries also can change their address and start or change direct deposit information online.  Those not yet receiving benefits can use their online account to get a personalized Social Security Statement which provides earnings information as well as estimates of future benefits.  Certain individuals may also be able to request a replacement Social Security card online.  The portal also includes links to information about other online services such as applications for retirement disability and Medicare benefits.  Many Social Security services are also conveniently available by dialing toll-free 1-800-772-1213.  People who are deaf or hard of hearing may call Social Securitys TTY number 1-800-325-0778. For those who wish to visit their business in person hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday.  On Wednesdays the office opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes to the public at noon.
