Congressman John Ratcliffe
Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. This weekend I visited Fannin County to celebrate President Trumps recent signing of my bill to restore the local control of 2025 acres of Fannin County land.
I was pleased to be joined at The Lodge at Lake Fannin by a handful of state and local officials who worked tirelessly with me and my staff over the past few years ensure the bill was signed into law as well as more than 100 attendees from the local community. As you know efforts to restore the local control of Lake Fannin have been in the works for more than 20 years in Fannin County and our success in crossing the finish line wouldnt have been possible without the strong support of our dedicated state and local officials area representatives and grassroots advocates.
Im especially thankful for the hard work of Judge Moore Lake Fannin Volunteer President Gabe Parker and former Judge Carter and I greatly appreciated the opportunity to present them with signed copies of the bill to acknowledge their dedication to this important cause.
It was truly an honor to be joined by so many folks who truly care about Lake Fannins future as we celebrated its renewed control by those who know it best. I look forward to seeing how the Lake Fannin conveyance law will boost the local economy as visitors are drawn from across the region to enjoy the historic beauty of this natural gem in our community.
