Ted Cruz, Corporate Leaders Discuss How Texas Employers Can Invest in Trump Accounts

House of Representatives passes Local Access to Courts Act

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – Last week, I joined Michael Dell, Brad Gerstner, Frank Bisignano, and dozens of Texas business leaders in Austin to highlight Texas’s leadership on Trump Accounts and discuss how employers can invest in their employees’ children and help build generational wealth.

Trump Accounts are one of the most transformational policies ever enacted into law. Every American child will have a personal investment account that he or she owns, and every child will experience the miracle of compound growth. I believe within a few years we will see Trump Accounts as a standard employee benefit across the country. What began as Brad Gerstner’s bold idea is now a law I was proud to author. Now, we are seeing countless companies, such as Dell, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and other businesses across the country building on that foundation.

Flooding in Texas
In July, Texas witnessed more flooding across the state, resulting in heartbreaking losses for families and communities. Since then, I have visited the areas impacted by this flooding and have been coordinating with county and state officials on recovery efforts. And now, President Trump recently announced $50.5 million in assistance for the counties impacted by the recent flooding, and we will keep working together to ensure every affected community has the resources and support it needs to rebuild and recover, so that no one is left behind.

Local Access to Courts Act
Last week, the House of Representatives passed my Local Access to Courts Act – legislation that will improve access to federal court proceedings for Texans in College Station and surrounding areas. President Trump responded:

With this addition, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas will be able to provide more efficient service to Texans in and around College Station, allowing them to seek redress without navigating unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles. Fighting Aggies embody the pride, tradition, and spirit that make Texas great, and I’m proud to help deliver for the College Station community. I look forward to seeing this legislation signed into law.

I just informed Governor Greg Abbott, of the GREAT State o f Texas (who has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election!), that I am sending 50.5 Million Dollars to assist recovery efforts from the severe storms, winds, tornadoes, and flooding that his them hard. Texas is a special place, and I will be back soon to support Governor Abbott, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, Ken Paton for U.S. Senate, and the entire ticket of Republican Candidates, who have my Complete and Total Endorsement. See you soon!
