AUSTIN Texas (Texas Insider Report) Mia Garza McCord brings a wealth of experience and relationships that will ensure a bright and long future for the Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute" said Sen. Larry Taylor (R-Friendswood) after the Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institutes (TXCCRI) Board of Directors unanimously voted to name McCord its new president.
McCords appointment is notable said Taylor (at right) both as the organizations first Hispanic and as the first woman to serve in this capacity.
Her vision energy background and strong conservative principles are exactly what our conservative movement needs" said Taylor who serves as chairman of TCCRIs Board of Directors.
A native of Hebbronville Texas McCord has been serving as TCCRIs interim president and was previously the organizations vice-president. She has worked in Texas politics for nearly 15 years.
In her new role McCord said she will strive to give greater voice to the conservative accomplishments of Texas elected officials and continue to promote the organizations principles of limited government individual liberty free enterprise and traditional values.
