Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Nuclear Alliance (TNA), the only industry association in Texas dedicated to the advancement of nuclear technology in the state, has grown to include 50 member organizations, marking a major milestone in its mission to advance the nuclear industry in Texas.
“The inception of the Alliance came from a self-evident truth: that Texas would benefit from more nuclear power and that the nuclear industry would benefit from the Texas way of doing things,” said TNA President Reed Clay. “It began with a simple, but ambitious goal: to make Texas the nuclear capital of the world. The Alliance closed out 2022 and 2023 with no members. We closed out 2024 with nearly two dozen members. We are proud to say that we have closed out the second quarter of 2025 with over 50 members. This milestone is the product of a lot of hard work by a lot of people, and more importantly, provides yet another data point that we are making rapid progress towards our simple goal.”
This growth comes on the heels of landmark legislation—House Bill 14, Senate Bill 1061, Senate Bill 1534, and Senate Bill 1535—passed during the 89th Texas Legislative Session to accelerate nuclear deployment, invest in critical infrastructure, and develop a skilled workforce. Together, these measures cement Texas’ position at the forefront of America’s nuclear resurgence.
“This isn’t just a moment—it’s a movement,” Clay added. “With strong legislative support, the nation’s friendliest business environment, and energized advocacy, Texas is laying the foundation for a nuclear-powered future that delivers unmatched benefits in reliability, technological innovation, and economic prosperity.”
TNA’s growing coalition includes leading companies and industry titans across a variety of industries including nuclear power, utilities, manufacturing, oil and gas, data centers, business, finance, higher education, law, technology, consulting, engineering, ports, and more – all committed to building a stronger energy and economic future for Texas.
