Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Production for April 2018 as reported to the Railroad Commission of Texas (Commission) is 83157720 barrels of crude oil and 548754930 mcf (thousand cubic feet) of total gas from oil and gas wells. These preliminary figures are based on production volumes reported by operators and will be updated as late and corrected production reports are received. Production reported to the Commission for April 2017 was: 78389597 barrels of crude oil preliminarily updated to a current figure of 87219115 barrels; and 605379703 mcf of total gas preliminarily updated to a current figure of 648561000 mcf.
The Commission reports that from May 2017 to April 2018 total Texas reported production was 1.104 billion barrels of crude oil and 7.873 billion cubic feet of total gas. Crude oil production reported by the Commission is limited to oil produced from oil leases and does not include condensate which is reported separately by the Commission.
Texas preliminary April 2018 crude oil production averaged 2771924 barrels daily compared to the 2612987 barrels daily average of April 2017.
Texas preliminary April 2018 total gas production averaged 18291831 mcf a day compared to the 20179323 mcf daily average of April 2017.
Texas production in April 2018 came from 180834 oil wells and 91197 gas wells.
