If DMV fails to take prompt and efficacious action to solve this problem, I will file legislation to require DMV verify lawful status before issuing registrations.
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – My office has received reports of illegal aliens registering their vehicles in Texas. Today, I'm demanding the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles take immediate action to stop this! The Texas government should be a force multiplier of President Trump’s efforts to combat illegal immigration, not enabling or incentivizing it. It is past time the Texas government starts acting like we are in a battle for the future of western civilization, because we are.
Full letter to the DMV:
Mr. Charles Bacarisse
Chair
Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Board
Dear Chair Bacarisse:
As you are aware, during the open border presidency of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the United States, and Texas specifically, was invaded by millions of illegal immigrants, including violent murders, terrorists, and drug cartels.
While President Trump has taken unprecedented action to secure our border to a historically unmatched level, and is systemically working to deport illegal aliens, it is incumbent on the Texas government to ensure all resources are being used to assist in these efforts.
However, my office recently received alarming reports of illegal immigrants being able to register their vehicles in the State of Texas. To my shock, upon investigation, my office has verified that these reports are in fact real.
According to Texas Transportation Code section 502.040(b), the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has been given broad authority by the Legislature to determine what personal identification must be presented in order to register a vehicle. I am writing today to inquire what steps, if any, the DMV has taken and is implementing to determine whether the owner of the vehicle is a citizen or lawfully in the country before issuing vehicle registrations.
If no such verification is occurring, then please consider this letter to be my formal request for DMV to immediately promulgate any and all necessary rules to ensure no vehicle is being registered by illegal immigrants in Texas.
If DMV fails to take prompt and efficacious action to solve this problem, I will file legislation to require DMV verify lawful status before issuing registrations.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter, and I look forward to working with you on it.
For liberty,
Brian Harrison
