CONG. McCAUL: The Biden Admin Created a Humanitarian Crisis Down On the Border

Congress, Administration must get rid of current loopholes to tackle the crisis at the border

By Cong. Michael McCaul

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. – This weekend I traveled to El Paso, TX where in that sector alone, Border Patrol is seeing a 230% spike in border encounters from last year. Overall, we have seen a major spike in crossings in the last two months.

These spikes can be directly linked to Biden Administration's irresponsible messaging on immigration and their decision to rescind successful asylum agreements with Central America and the Remain in Mexico policy.

DHS Secretary Mayorkas predicts the U.S. is on track to see the highest surge of migrants in 20 years.

Sadly, their misguided change in policies and messaging has encouraged unaccompanied minors to make this dangerous journey.

What's worse – the traffickers and cartels know our laws and policies and will take advantage of these loopholes the Biden Administration created.

Congress and the Administration must look at policies to get rid of current loopholes so we can tackle the crisis at the border
