We are fighting for you. And together, we are going to make this legislative session one to remember for our comprehensive list of conservative accomplishments.

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – You spoke and we are listening! Texans want secure elections, strong and reliable rural broadband, a resilient electric grid, and good pro-life policies. I am glad to report that the Texas Senate has passed comprehensive legislation on each of those topics.
Last week we burned the midnight oil and passed Senate Bill 7, a strong and extensive piece of legislation that will secure our elections and ensure that one person truly means one vote. I also successfully added an amendment to SB 7 that would make paid ballot harvesting illegal.
I know how important election integrity is to you and we are fighting to make sure we deliver on our promise. We stand for strong secure elections and against the Democrats attempt to derail our electoral process.
Texas is the energy capital of the world and should have an electric grid that proves that. This week we also passed Senate Bill 3 in response to Winter Storm Uri which brings significant reform to our state’s electric grid by requiring weatherization, prohibiting wholesale index, prevents and prepares us for any potential future energy emergencies by establishing an emergency alert system.
Senate District 24, and much of rural Texas, lacks a strong network of reliable broadband. We know that staying connected with elderly loved ones, ensuring school children have the tools to succeed, and advancing equitable access between urban and rural citizens requires state action. This week, we took action in the Senate and answered that call by passing SB 5.
I have always fought for and defended those without a voice, especially the unborn. Last week the Senate fulfilled their promise to pass strong pro-life legislation that included SB 8, the Heart Beat Bill, and SB 9, the Abortion Trigger Ban Bill. Both of these bills will save countless lives and ensure that we move closer to the day where no lives will be lost to abortion.
We as a country are stronger when we are united than when we are divided. The National Anthem has historically brought Americans together from all walks of life at sporting events, naturalization ceremonies, and more. It is a national institution and it is worth protecting. That is why I am proud to have passed Senate Bill 4, the Star Spangled Banner Protection Act, out of the Senate which would require the national anthem be played at games by professional sports teams which require financial commitment by the state or local governments.
We hear you. We are fighting for you, and together we are going to make this legislative session one to remember for our comprehensive list of conservative accomplishments.
May God Bless you and may God continue to bless the great state of Texas!
