I will keep fighting against the swamp for your freedom and making sure the people of Texas’ 4th district have a voice.

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – What an exciting week for our great democracy! We have witnessed a few Supreme Court victories, but my first priority is always my constituent bosses. With that in mind, I wanted to tell you about a legislative win we had this week.

With the help of my friends and colleagues on the House Armed Services Committee, we passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) out of committee. In considering any major piece of legislation, my first priority is always my constituent bosses.

Here are a few things I made sure were in the bill to emphasize your safety and security.

First, I aimed at improving the work done at the Red River Army Depot by directing an additional $183 million dollars for Lifesaving HMMWV ABS/ESC upgrades, which will impact the work done at Red River Army Depot.

It is also overwhelmingly obvious that we have a massive crisis at our southern border.

This bill will allow Congress to officially recognize the situation at our border as a national security threat. This is an imperative first step towards fixing the invasion that Joe Biden’s policies have caused at the border.

Also, a report will be gathered on the National Guard Counter narcotic authorities so that members of Congress who refuse to witness the chaos at the border with their own eyes will finally be notified.

With this report, no excuses can be made as to why the Biden White House's policies shouldn't be adjusted to secure the border.

In order to maintain America’s dominance on a world stage, we must stay up to date on the latest technology. My amendment to the NDAA encourages the Air Force to develop advanced engine technology. Instead of focusing on gender pronouns and pride month, the branches of our military should be doing everything possible to gain an advantage against our adversaries.

Possibly, the most important aspect of this bill would require for the Secretary of Defense to set a target date for establishing access to 5G wireless broadband on military installations and reporting requirements. Any advantage we can secure within our military is VERY important for America to succeed on a global level.

I will keep fighting against the swamp for your freedom, and to make sure the people of Texas’ 4th Congresional District have a voice.
