Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – The humanitarian crisis at our southern border did not have to happen, but President Biden and his Administration repealed effective immigration policies established under the Trump Administration simply because of politics.
The images we are seeing at the border are heartbreaking. That is why I am urging the State Department to reinstate the cooperative asylum agreements with Central American and policies like 'Remain in Mexico' that protect migrants, encourage them to apply for asylum within their home country, and deter them from making the dangerous trek to our southern border.

In Donna, TX 4,100 migrants, many of which were unaccompanied minors, were packed into a migrant facility.
During the pandemic this facility was only meant to hold 250 individuals during the pandemic, and 1,000 prior to the pandemic.
