Apple’s new Advanced Manufacturing Center Opens
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas –
Last week I had a great tour of Toyota Texas in San Antonio with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Acting U.S. Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling. Toyota’s $3.6 billion expansion is another powerful vote of confidence in Texas workers and our pro-growth policies, bringing more than 2,000 new high-paying jobs to the Lone Star State.
Texas leads the nation because we believe in free enterprise, low taxes, and fewer government barriers to job creators. I look forward to seeing the opportunities Toyota continues to create for San Antonio and communities across our great state.
Officer John Barnes and Chief Michael Ansbro Public Safety Officers’ Benefits Program Expansion Act of 2026
I am grateful to have worked with Senator Gillibrand to advance the Officer John Barnes and Chief Michael Ansbro Public Safety Officers’ Benefits Program Expansion Act of 2026 through the Senate. The Public Safety Officers' Benefits Program was created to ensure that our first responders receive the benefits they deserve and need. We owe it to our first responders and their families to ensure they receive timely and fair support. I urge my colleagues in the House to pass this legislation without delay.
Apple’s new Advanced Manufacturing Center Opens
This week, I was proud to join U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Tim Cook in Houston to open Apple’s new Advanced Manufacturing Center. This new facility will drive job creation and directly benefit our communities by giving small and mid-sized businesses access to cutting-edge equipment, interactive labs, and operations expertise. Apple’s new Advanced Manufacturing Center underscores that Texas is the best state in the country to do business. We prioritize innovation and competition, making it easy for employers to grow and thrive.
Delta’s new nonstop Austin-to-Paris service
Companies are investing in Texas for a reason: we believe in innovation, competition, and the free market. Delta’s new nonstop Austin-to-Paris service is another sign that Central Texas is booming and increasingly connected to the world.
This is the kind of investment a world-class city like Austin deserves. It means jobs not just in aviation, but across industries. The ability to connect with the world is critical to Austin’s continued economic success, and this new service will create even more opportunities for Central Texas.
