Trey Gowdy Isnt Letting Up on Hillary Clinton He Says Her Campaign May Have Been Laundering Money

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) wasnt really a household name until he became the face of the House Select Committee on Benghazi. There his questioning of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton alone proved just how formidable a prosecutor he could be. But according to a recent interview it appears that Gowdy isnt quite finished with Clinton yet. He thinks there are at least a few questions she needs to answer in regard to the Trump-Russia dossier. During a Fox News Sunday" interview with host Chris Wallace Gowdy discussed the Russia probe at length. He noted that he was one of a shrinking group of Republicans who didnt believe that Robert Mueller needed to be fired. The problem he said was a general lack of cooperation from Democrats:
I wish the Democrats were a little bit more concerned instead of reading the Moscow phonebook during the witnesses interviews trying to see if Jared Kushner knows a guy named Igor I wish theyd help. Thats been my focus in 2017 is understanding that Russia tried to subvert our democracy and itd be great if my Democratic friends helped a little bit." In addition Gowdy explained the Clintons were still an issue. BizPac Review reported: The South Carolina representative explained that special investigator Robert Muellers Russia investigation should look to find out if the Clinton campaign is guilty of laundering funds by using its lawyers at Perkins Coie to create the dossier and listing it as part of the firms legal work for the campaign. Im not an election law expert" he said. But the good news is you dont have to be to understand the absurdity of believing that you can launder all of your campaign money by just hiring a law firm. Imagine if you and I were running for Congress and we just hired a law firm and said Hey you go do all the oppo you go buy all the television you go buy all the bumper stickers you go hire all the experts and were gonna launder all of this through a law firm" he said. I cant think of anything that defeats the purpose of transparency laws more than that." Gowdy also said he was interested in hearing more about the Uranium One deal and the possible involvement of the Clintons there as well saying I do want to know if the same group that tried to sabotage our democracy in 2016 is buying uranium in 2010. Yeah I wanna know that.
