his search is in its final stages and he appears to be ready to make a decision soon.
President-elect Trumps comments indicate his list of potential Supreme Court nominees has been narrowed from 21 candidates to probably three or four.
Trump said those under consideration are terrific highly respected and brilliant people. He said the three or four people under consideration were on his Supreme Court short list which he released during the campaign.
That comment would indicate that Texas Sen. Ted Cruz a former rival who has been mentioned as a possible pick but who was never on the short lists appears unlikely to be chosen.
