Trump adds diversity to Economic Advisory Council
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Donald Trump added nine new people including eight women to his economic council on Thursday and it included two Texans: Brooke Rollins head of the Texas Public Policy Foundation in Austin as well as Kathleen Hartnett White a senior fellow and director of the energy policy center housed there.
When Trump unveiled his initial 13-person economic advisory council last week it included only men.
Among the other female additions to the Trump economic council made Thursday were:
- Betsy McCaughey a former Lieutenant Governor of New York
- Diane Hendricks a major 2015 donor to the Scott Walker campaign who is currently a national vice chair of the Trump Victory efforts and a Victory Finance Chair for Wisconsin
- Liz Uihlein co-founder of Uline Inc. a shipping supply company. In May Trump and the Republican National Committee introduced Uihlein as a National Vice-Chair for fundraising efforts.
- Darlene Jordan who served as National Finance Co-Chair for Mitt Romneys 2012 campaign. Trump and the Republican National Committee announced that Jordan would serve as a State Victory Chair in Florida last month.
- Carla Sands of Southern California and
- Judy Shelton an economist with the Atlas Sound Money Project
The final new addition to the Trump economic council made Thursday was hedge fund manager Anthony Scaramucci
Since becoming the official Republican Party nominee during last months Republican National Convention Trump has reported raising $80 million in July a total approximating that raised by the Hillary Clinton Campaign in July.
