In One of the Nation's Most Closely Watched Congressional Races, Candidate Cassy Garcia Votes Early in TX-28

"Together, we will fix our economy, secure the border, protect Social Security, bring healthcare to our community, and make history."

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – "Today I had the honor of voting in Guadalupe County, Texas," said candidate Cassy Garcia, who as a Republican running for Texas' 28th Congressional District voted earlier today near her home in the city of Selma, located northeast of San Antonio.

"When my great-grandparents came here from Mexico, never in their wildest dreams would they have imagined that one of their descendants — let alone a woman — would one day run for Congress.

“But as my abuelo (Grandfather) Pablo always told me: mija, en este país todo es posible. He was so right — and I’m running for Congress to keep the American Dream alive for the next generation," said Garcia. "To do that, we must turn the page on the failed Biden-Cuellar-Pelosi agenda."

"South Texans from all walks of life — Republicans, Independents, and Democrats alike — are fired up about our campaign. I know we can do this because I believe in South Texas, and America — the place where everything is possible.

"Together we will fix our economy, secure the border, protect Social Security, bring healthcare to our community, and make history.”

Garcia is running in the newly redistricted Texas 28th Congressional District of Texas.
