U.S. Spends Staggering Amounts of Money to Secure the Borders of Other Nations

Approximately $6 billion allocated for Lebanon Pakistan Afghanistan Egypt & others

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. We spend billions of dollars a year defending other nations borders yet the Democrat leadership only wants to spend $1.3 billion defending our own border. I would think our own border would be more important than the borders of foreign nations said former ICE Director Tom Homan slamming the hypocrisy of Congressional Democrats who refused to include funding for a border wall along the southern U.S. border while billions were spent on border security overseas.

Democrats criticized the president for declaring a national emergency on border security funding at the Southern U.S. Border last month and accused him of a manufactured crisis.

But the 1200-page spending bill signed by lawmakers from both parties included staggering amounts of money to secure the borders of other nations.

Approximately $6 billion was allocated to fund foreign militaries including the border security of Lebanon while $1.3 billion was allocated for Egypts military as well as $112.5 million in economic support.

Homan called those numbers incredible and said Democrats are not against building security walls in general just the $5.7 billion the president sought to secure the U.S. border.

These people are putting their political ambitions ahead of their responsibility to secure the border and protect the American people Homan said slamming Democrats excuses denouncing border walls as immoral or ineffective calling it a smokescreen because they cant be so foolish as to not understand the data.

This is a political game at its worst. They think continued chaos at the border is going to hurt the president in 2020 but this is about securing our nation said Homan.

This is about resisting the president and not giving the president a win.

The former Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) chief appearing on Fox & Friends First to discuss the spending bill Congress approved to avert another government shutdown last month also highlighted the provisions of the bill that pour billions of dollars into the border security operations of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Thats a stone-cold truth Homan said.
