Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-Austin) released the following statement upon completion of Special Counsel Robert Muellers investigation into Russian collusion in the 2016 election.
I am pleased that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has finally completed his 2-year $25 million tax payer funded investigation into Russian collusion in the 2016 election. Predictably Mr. Mueller found there to be no evidence of collusion or obstruction of justice. Earlier this month I voted in favor of releasing the Special Counsels final report to the American people- we paid for it and we should see it.
Transparency is critical to our democracy and no man or woman is above the law in the eyes of justice. I hope that my colleagues on the other side of the aisle will choose once and for all to cease their reckless pursuit of defaming the President and shift their focus to the issues that matter most to the American people."
