Now that most Democrat positions can be branded as “insane,” nobody wants them anymore

AUSTIN, Texas (Texas Insider Report) — After their stunning loss in the election, all Democrats can talk about is rebranding. I don’t think that will help. Branding is all about drilling down to what a product or a party stands for.
The reason that people think Democrats are the party of open borders, runaway inflation, transgenderism, and foreign wars is because that’s what they gave us. Any product from an automobile to a floor cleaner must brand according what it is. A floor cleaner that doesn’t clean needs to do more than change its branding; it needs to change its formula.
They lost because their branding was right on target – exemplified by the members of The Squad, an openly anti-American caucus in the House. You can’t simply rebrand insanity. You have to make sweeping changes.
So, what to do with far left Democrats like Rashida Tlaib?
This is the Democrat’s dilemma. How do they toss someone out of the party? It’s now been proved that Squad members will not be the future for Democrats. And yet, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is already eyeing the White House. She would lose in today’s world, and probably more soundly than Harris did.
And what about more establishment Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer? These two have their own brands. Pelosi for using legal congressional insider trading to enrich herself, and Schumer for suborning the assassination of two Supreme Court justices.
Worse for these two, and others like them is that they were once far saner than now. They went with the changing times, and signed on to the whole woke agenda from hatred of Israel to so-called “gender affirming care” which amounted to sexual mutilation.
There is no hope for today’s insane Democrats.
Here where their hope lies: It’s that, with the removal of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives in many of our nations top (but woke) colleges, a new kind of Democrat will arise. The idea of cobbling together every strange little segment of American life into a coalition that’s bigger than the what the Republicans have is no longer viable.
Colleges must start turning out sane and logical graduates to reform the Democratic Party into something more palatable than what it has become. Then, the question will be: how do the Democrats, once relived of their insane positions, differentiate from Republicans?

I’m glad that’s their problem.
I’ve been in marketing, and the biggest trouble I had with clients was getting them to live up to their branding. If you claim in your marketing that you put your customers first, then you’d better do just that. And straying from branding and positioning is deadly. Bud Light learned that the hard way as Jaguar will learn as well.
Now that most Democratic positions are branded as “insane,” nobody wants them anymore. But joining Republicans in a “uniparty” us not the way to go either. Remember, Kmart essentially died because Walmart was positioned as the always cheaper store, and Target took the position of the upscale big-box retailer. Kmart was stuck in the middle with nowhere to go.
Democrats need to decide who they are and what they want to be.
MAGA is the brand of the new Trump Republican Party. It’s hard to denigrate a brand that wants to make America great again. The Democrats tried and they failed. MAGA is a specific brand aimed at accomplishing specific goals. Every one of those goals is designed to make America great and people’s lives better.
The Democrats’ policies all made things worse, or are just stupid.
- They stood for massive spending which led to inflation and open borders that led to drug cartels, human trafficking, and murder.
- They supported the idiotic idea of sex-change, which is beyond stupid.
- Abortion is the killing of a human being, and climate change is their obsession.
That’s what they have to fix.
They must toss out virtually everything they have stood for over the past four years and start over. What will they be? What should they be? Tax-and-spend inflationary policies are not popular right now. Like Kmart, the Democrats have nowhere to go. I can think of several brand ideas they could start to work on, but first, they have to get rid of their biggest problem – the insane Left members of their own party.
And at least one of the most insane is possibly going to run for president in 2028.
I would like to wish them well, but really, I don’t.
It will take a while for a class of saner Democrats to emerge. Their only hope over the next four years is that Donald Trump fails. As crazy as it sounds, Trump hold the future of the Democrat Party in his hands. If he succeeds, they’re in big trouble.
