Why not have every state use whatever energy source is cheapest and most reliable?
By Steve Moore
For another example of the sheer idiocy of the green energy “transition,” consider Wyoming. Probably no place on the planet has more coal and other energy resources than Wyoming. And yet, the utility company in the state wants a nearly 30% rate hike – which the Wall Street Journal reports, has residents up in arms.
Wyoming used to get more than 95% of its energy from coal and gas, but now that’s down to 70% thanks to mandates that the utilities purchase more power from windmills.
Because wind power is so inefficient and costly — even in a high-wind state like Wyoming — costs are rising dramatically. Wyoming has traditionally had the lowest energy costs of any state.
For Wyoming to be running out of energy would be like California running out of sand.
