Suburban Women other key groups returning to President Trump. The reason? Many want his Border Wall
Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. A plurality of suburban women want the president to get funding elsewhere to complete the Border Fence and half support him declaring a National Emergency to do so" said pollster Jon Zogsby recently prior to releasing the results of his latest poll.
As the 2020 presidential election inches closer Trump will look to strengthen his support among his base and appeal to swing voter blocs such as Suburban Women.
The Border Wall or Border Fence will be a key issue he can utilize to help his re-election chances especially as his Democratic opponents move further to the left regarding immigration policies" Zogsby said.
Even though most voters do not agree with the presidents recent actions regarding the border suburban women do favor his policies said Zogsby.
Yes you heard that right; Suburban Women after many fled the Republican Party during the 2018 Midterm Elections are coming back to President Trump.
The reason says Zogsby? Many want his border wall.
- 45 of Suburban Women want the President to find other sources of money to build the Border Wall
- 40 dont
- And 50 back his Emergency Declaration
Zogsbys latest survey found that Trumps approval has continued to edge higher and hes picking up support from some key groups that appeared to have soured on the president including Hispanics African Americans and independents.
The presidents numbers steadily gained among two critical groups that helped him win the 2016 Presidential Election:
- Independents - 39 approve. 55 disapprove and
- Voters without College Degrees - 45 approve 51 disapprove
Interestingly President Trump also gained ground with:
- Hispanics - 40 approve 57 disapprove and
- African Americans - 24 approve 70 disapprove
Both groups job approval rating of Trump increased the most in months" said Zogbys polling analysis.
And it didnt end there.
The presidents job approval also recovered among his base. He continued to have support among:
- Republicans - 81 approve 17 disapprove
- NASCAR Fans - 56 approve 41 disapprove
- Rural Voters - 51 approve 46 disapprove
- Central & Great Lakes Voters - 46 approve 52 disapprove and
- Voters with $50000-$75000 Annual Household Income - 47 approve 51 disapprove
Trump improved with:
- Small City Voters - 46 approve 53 disapprove
- Suburban Voters - 43 approve 52 disapprove
- But most importantly said Zogsby he is doing very well with Suburban Women who are vital to his 2020 re-election and who said 50 approve 50 disapprove
