HEGAR: Based on Sales Tax Revenue, Texas' Economy Up 17.2% from September 2021

“State sales tax collections continued to climb rapidly in September, with solid growth in all major economic sectors,” said Comptroller Glenn Hegar. Total sales tax revenue for just the three month period ending with September 2022 was up 14.9% compared to the same period a year ago. Texas' state sales tax revenue totaled $3.69 billion in September 2022.
