A woman was shot and lost her life in Minneapolis, Minnesota, last week. The truth about the ending of her life is that it did not have to be so. The fact is that she was the victim of Leftist lawlessness. Her death is truly no different from the death of a Leftist who decided to open fire at an ICE facility in McAllen, Texas or that of the leftist sniper who fired shots at the ICE facility in Dallas, Texas. She decided to use a vehicle, which, as we all know, can be, and has been, used as a weapon against ICE officers and operations. What this woman did was engage in unlawful, criminal activity by obstructing a federal law enforcement operation.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released a statement praising the Trump administration’s  announcement of a new Assistant Attorney General for Fraud to address the rampant misuse of taxpayer dollars across the country. "President Trump has worked tirelessly to eliminate the waste, fraud, and abuse that has infiltrated all facets of our government, and today’s announcement is the latest example of him delivering on this campaign promise for the American people and putting fraudsters on notice. "

Governor Greg Abbott today announced that a Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund (TSIF) grant of $3.5 million has been extended to Texas State Technical College (TSTC) for their Accelerated Semiconductor Technician Training Program (ASTTP) at the Williamson County Campus in Hutto. The ASTTP program will deliver modular, accelerated curriculum to prepare technicians within 10 weeks for semiconductor fabrication jobs as equipment technicians, process technicians, and gas control system specialists.

Through his seat on the House Appropriations Committee, the primary committee in Congress responsible for drafting all annual budget bills, Cong. Gonzales has secured over $22 million that will be awarded to Law Enforcement Agencies & School Districts across South and West Texas to improve public safety outcomes. 

Over 95 people have been indicted in the mushrooming Minnesota fraud scandal that prosecutors estimate could top $9 billion. The Trump White House is gathering evidence of massive welfare fraud in four more Blue states beyond Minnesota: New York, California, Illinois & Colorado. In California, even Liberal Democrat Congressman Ro Khanna - who represents Silicon Valley - is citing state mismanagement of as much as $72 billion in taxpayer dollars.

As for the estimated $8 billion in government (taxpayer) money stolen by crooks in Minnesota, people demand answers to many questions. But the 800-pound elephant/question goes unasked: Why is government in the business of welfare in the first place? Where in the Constitution does it permit the federal government to extract money from taxpayers for charity?

Governor Tim Walz, Minnesota Democrat, who might have become vice president had Kamala Harris won the November election, has announced he will not be seeking a third term. The alleged fraud involving day care centers and allegations that federal aid went to outside entities, including China and East Africa, apparently forced his decision. A trial opened this week in Mississippi, where it is alleged several nonprofits fraudulently re-directed $77 million in federal money to enrich themselves.

U.S. Congressman Brian Babin announced today that his Birthright Citizenship Act has been included in the Republican Study Committee’s Fiscal Year 2026 Budget, marking a major step forward in the effort to restore the rule of law and protect the integrity of American citizenship. With its inclusion in the RSC budget, the Birthright Citizenship Act continues to gain momentum as Republicans advance policies that secure the border, uphold the Constitution, and put American citizens first.

There have been two parts to the political world's reaction to the American operation that deposed and captured Nicolas Maduro. The first part was to marvel at what Brit Hume called the "extraordinary level of skill, technology and daring" on the part of American forces and leadership. Hume noted that the U.S. performance, when considered alongside the flawless attack on Iran's nuclear program, sent to the world "precisely the opposite signal from that sent by the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan."

Gov. Greg Abbott today directed Texas' State Agencies to launch investigations into any potential child care funding fraud taking place in Texas. Under the direction of the Governor, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) - in collaboration with the Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) - will further implement anti-fraud measures and launch investigations into any potential fraud and misdirection of Texas taxpayer dollars. 

Under the left’s hero, Nicolas Maduro, 80% of Venezuela's citizens have fallen into poverty - and nearly half are in extreme poverty. Oil production has crashed, and none of the revenues have enriched the citizens. Maduro no doubt is in line to win the Nobel Peace Prize. To help alleviate poverty and get the oil industry up and running, the newly elected government should reprivatize the oil industry.

Venezuelans are celebrating in the streets of Caracas and around the world after U.S. forces staged a flawless removal of brutal dictator and narco-trafficker Nicolás Maduro and his wife. Not celebrating are most Congressional Democrats, a few Republicans, and the new mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani - whose foreign policy credentials are akin to dining at the International House of Pancakes.
