Warrens Medicare for All" plan immediately came under attack from her fellow Democrats following its release in November as Joe Biden and others pointed out it would inevitably raise taxes on the middle class.
Bidens campaign attacked Warrens plan saying she has been low-balling the cost" of her Medicare for All" plan and calling middle class tax increases inevitable."
Senator Warren has spent months dodging questions about how shed need to raise taxes on the American middle class in order to pay for her single payer health care plan" said Joe Bidens campaign at the time.
Warrens Medicare for All" plan would also repeal President Trumps signature Tax Cuts & Jobs Act noted Americans for Tax Reform. The groups analysis said Warrens proposal would come with a guaranteed tax increase for middle class Americans.
Sanders who wrote the damn bill" as he likes to say first admitted that middle class taxes would go up under his Medicare for All" plan telling a CNN reporter shortly after the Democrats July 2019 debate:
