Improving Servicemembers’ Quality of Life and Restoring American Military Might

They also deserve the best medical care possible. That’s why I was so alarmed to hear of incidents involving dirty surgical instruments at military hospitals — including one in Texas — that threatened the lives of servicemembers on the operating table. I introduced and passed an amendment in this year’s bill that requires a study to be carried out to get to the bottom of these tragedies and implement solutions to ensure they do not happen again.

Another Big Huge Biden Lie

All eyes were on Los Angeles Saturday night where the bragging point was supposed to be that President Biden was due to rake in (excited inhale here) $28 million. (Think Dr. Evil in the wrong time period.) Democrats were going to do this because the menace that supposedly is Donald J. Trump is about to turn the entire nation into some sort of concentration camp.

SEN. CRUZ: Let’s Be Clear - No One Is Trying to Ban IVF

"Today, Democrats staged a show vote in an effort to fearmonger over IVF. Let’s be clear: No one is trying to ban IVF. Not one senator. I voted against this legislation because it goes far beyond IVF. It is designed to be a backdoor to federalize abortion and other issues that are best debated and considered on their own merits, not hidden in a bill that purportedly addresses IVF," said Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

CONG. SESSIONS: Answers for Recent V-22 Osprey Failures & the FDIC

On Wednesday I participated in a hearing with the House Financial Services Committee on continued oversight of toxicity in the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). I agree with Director McKernan, who served as a witness, that “the FDIC urgently needs a fresh start, the sooner the better.” It's clear: for the FDIC to fulfill its duty to the American people, we must tackle this turmoil decisively and install competent leadership.

The West Is Sick of the New Woke Jihadism

The global protestors are not furious over the 1 million Uighurs brutalized by the communist Chinese government. Neither are they concerned about the Turkish government's indiscriminate war against the Kurds or its serial threats to attack Armenians and Greeks. It is oblivious to the modern gruesome Muslim-on-Muslim exterminations of Bashar al-Assad and Saddam Hussein, the Black September massacres of Palestinians by Jordanian forces, and the 1982 erasure of thousands in Hama, Syria.

“The law is flatly illegal, period,” said ACLU attorney & lead counsel in the lawsuit, Lee Gelernt. “While Congress has placed some limitations on the right to seek asylum over the years, it has never permitted the Executive Branch to categorically ban asylum based on where a non-citizen enters the country,” said the group of Immigrant Rights Organizations, as they filed a lawsuit to halt implementation of President Joe Biden’s new Executive Order that's intended to limit illegal immigrants’ ability to an lodge asylum claim.

Attorney General Ken Paxton Sues Biden Department of Labor to Prevent Attempt to Grant Foreign Laborers More Rights than American Workers

DOL issued a new rule that would specifically allow foreign nationals working in America under the H-2A visa program within the agricultural industry the ability to unionize and engage in collective bargaining. This rule directly violates federal law including the National Labor Relations Act of 1935 which allowed workers in certain industries to engage in trade unions and collective bargaining but exempted the agricultural industry.

TAB Chair VILLARREAL: To Help U.S. Lead, Texas Needs to Maintain Tech & AI Dominance Over China

A recent study found that Austin is emerging as a "Top Tier City" for tech talent, ranking #1 in the United States. And, I applaud the Texas Legislature for taking on the Tech & Artificial Intelligence (AI) challenges – but lawmakers at all levels should remain cautious about pursuing policies that slow AI innovations and tech developments. This is particularly important in light of recent reports that China is developing an AI Model trained to promote “socialism with Chinese characteristics.” The U.S. can't afford to lose its leadership position in AI to China.
