“I am proud to announce a major win for Texas, and will continue to hold opioid manufacturers responsible for deceiving patients and the medical community while ensuring the victims of this tragic epidemic receive the assistance they need,” said Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, announcing for the second time this week that he and a bipartisan group of A.G.'s had reached an agreement to address the nation's growing opioid crisis.

Senator Ted Cruz has announced that he introduced a bill to reimpose "Terrorism Sanctions" on the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) – as well as on a group of 7 individuals affiliated with the group – re-designating the FARC as a Foreign Terrorist Organization and a Specially Designated Global Terrorist. The bill is co-sponsored by Florida Senator Marco Rubio.

"Through the extension of emergency SNAP benefits and the work of HHSC, we are ensuring Texans have the resources they need to stay healthy," Abbott announced, after the Texas Health & Human Services Commission received U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) approval to extend the maximum.

After advising New York City's Mayor last month to direct his complaints over Texas' efforts to secure its Southern Border to President Biden for refusing to secure the Southern Border, and after additional complaints from Washington, D.C.'s Mayor Muriel Bowser, Gov. Greg Abbott this week sent a letter to both mayors inviting them to visit Texas’ Southern Border to see the humanitarian crisis firsthand.
