While we don't typically cite poll results, we can't help but highlight a few of the latest findings from a new Harvard-Harris Poll of March 2nd. Here's why: 1.) They surprised us, and 2.) Oh wait, what's this... they also run contrary & opposite to the media's ongoing mis-information campaign they're mis-presenting to the American Public. For starters, 53% of Voters trust President Trump over Democrats to manage the Economy, 52% say the Economy's better than under Trump than Biden, and 75% want to deport Illegal Immigrant Criminals.
The Highway Trust Fund (HTF) is a federal funding mechanism that receives revenue from transportation-related taxes – primarily federal fuel taxes – and provides funding for Highways Surface Transportation. The "Highway Formula Fairness Act" would ensure that all states, including Texas, receive at least 95% of their HTF contributions. “Texas is the second-largest contributor to the Highway Trust Fund, yet it's received a smaller share relative to its contributions than any other state," said Sen. Ted Cruz.

Governor Greg Abbott announced an expansion by Sika Corporation in Sealy as a qualified project under the Texas Jobs, Energy, Technology, and Innovation (JETI) program. Sika will expand its manufacturing operations of PVC single-ply commercial roofing membranes in Austin County. The project represents more than $90 million in capital investment and will create 60 jobs.

Governor Greg Abbott today announced MP Materials Corp. will expand its presence in Texas and establish a rare earth magnet manufacturing campus in Northlake that will create more than 1,500 new jobs and represents more than $1.25 billion in capital investment. A Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant of $12,880,500 has been extended to MP Materials for the development of the campus’ corporate operations.
U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) introduced the Officer John Barnes and Chief Michael Ansbro Public Safety Officers' Benefits Program Expansion Act of 2026. This bipartisan legislation would amend the existing Public Safety Officers’ Benefits (PSOB) program to speed up benefit determinations and extend benefits to additional public safety officers.
The Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program has reached the midway point of its six-week family application window, with more than 130,000 student applications already submitted and more than 2,000 schools signed up to participate. Those numbers continue to rise daily. The family application period opened Feb. 4 and will close March 17, leaving three weeks remaining for families to apply.
