The Young Conservatives of Texas at the Univ. of North Texas recently wanted to hold an event entitled “Criminalize Child Transitions.” They drew a crowd of protesters, outsiders, whose tactics are certainly consistent with the violent group known as Antifa. At its base, that movement (yes, even in Texas,) is at war with free speech – defining the right to "free speech" itself as a tool of "oppression."

Doctors, medical providers, and other related medical staff who report “sex change” procedures and the administration of puberty blockers to minors as “child abuse” may violate federal law—even though state law says that such procedures can, in fact, constitute “child abuse.”   

This task force should work diligently to ensure that best practices and resources for recruitment and retention are provided to districts to ensure the learning environment of Texas students is not interrupted by the absence of a qualified teacher.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is an evil man – and he chose to invade Ukraine because he understood that opposite him on the world stage stood Joe Biden, a United States led by a political party that's coddling "Socialist Democrats," as well as weakness, not strength, and moral relativism, not moral clarity. The Soviet Union collapsed decades ago because of President Ronald Reagan's strength, moral clarity and leadership.

"Our analysis indicates that almost all of the attacks (of artillery, missiles and aircraft attacks,) have been in front of Russian Ground Troops to support ground operations. There's no 'strategic' air campaign that we can see," said one of the three senior U.S. officials quoted. Said another of the officers, ​​​​"No one in Russia is twisting into a pretzel to avoid civilian deaths. We're not yet even seeing the worst of it."

I get that dictators order their minions to do truly evil things, but what causes someone to follow those orders? Watching the footage out of Ukraine these days, you have to wonder where this large group of Russians went wrong. And "wrong" isn’t even the right word – evil is closer to it.

The United States and our allies should move immediately to provide them – above all else – with fighter jets, as well as with Stingers and other anti-aircraft assets. It is incumbent Putin does not have resources he needs to fund his war machine."

"For a week we have witnessed Vladimir Putin’s vicious disregard for International Law, national sovereignty and basic human rights. We will be acting as swiftly as possible to divest any holdings with ties to the Russian State or Russian Nationals," said Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar, noting that as the world’s 9th largest economy and the nation’s top exporting state, Texas’ role in global events is critical.

"Our Texan Hearts go out to those Ukrainians fighting for their freedom as Texans once did – especially on this day, March 2nd, Texas Independence Day – and we must take steps to protect Texas' Taxpayer Assets from Totalitarian Regimes that go to war against and invade neighboring Democracies without reason or provocation," said State Sen. Paul Bettencourt Friday, after all 31 of his State Senate colleagues had co-signed his letter to Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick requesting an "Interim Charge" study to determine how and where State Government Assets may be at risk due to the Russian invasion.

“President Biden has imposed more restrictions on U.S. Oil Companies than he has on Russian Oil. Even worse, these policies pour billions of dollars into countries like Russia & Iran that use those funds to attack our allies and undermine the security of America," said Sen. Ted Cruz, introducing legislation to make America energy independent again by accelerating new onshore and offshore oil and gas efforts.

"Receipts from restaurants continued to see double-digit gains compared to last year, and are well above pre-pandemic levels. And in the Retail Trade Sector, double-digit growth continued in home improvement and electronic shopping," said Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar earlier today, noting that Texas' State Sales Tax Revenue – a respected indicator of the economy's direction – for February totaled $3.23 billion.

One advantage of President Biden’s age should be that he at least remembers the inflation crisis of the 1970s – the factors that led to it, the efforts that failed to cure it, and the cure that finally succeeded in bringing inflation under control. There's no solution to inflation other than reining in loose money and enduring the economic pain that result. But, Joe Biden apparently can’t remember.

Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky – as seen fighting on the streets of his Nation's Capitol City – called in to a Zoom Teleconference call of Europe's leaders last weekend showing the now-familiar dark-Camo T-shirt & unshaven look of a warrior, which contrasted vividly against the posh conditions surrounding the others. In his brief pitch for support, Zelensky reminded his counterparts – sitting securely in comfortable chairs in opulent offices – that this might be the last time they would see him alive.
