Democrats are on a relentless quest to get their hands on other people’s cash. It’s a scary thought to realize there are people in this country who not only fall for it, but are so wildly supportive of the manipulative masterminds behind it. 

It’s too bad the failed Socialist Experiment at Plymouth Rock is not more prominently included in the Thanksgiving Story that most Americans think of today. Perhaps it would make a difference to the 65% of Democrats who currently have a positive view of "socialism" – including about half of the millennials and Generation Zers who believe it would be preferable to our Capitalist System.

While the City of Houston is synonymous with the Oil & Gas Industry, it has also been gaining a competitive advantage in numerous renewable energy industry sectors due to the high concentration of energy expertise and experience among its residents. And with two new "Wind Energy Areas" recently approved for the Gulf of Mexico, including one near Galveston, Texas, the potential to produce additional clean wind energy jobs is growing.

“Despite national economic headwinds, Texas grew jobs at the fastest rate in the nation over the past 12 months. The Lone Star State shines as a beacon of opportunity," said Gov. Greg Abbott, announcing that Texas experienced its fastest rate of jobs growth over the past 12 months during the month of October 2022, and broke its all-time record for total jobs for the 12th consecutive month by adding 49,500 nonfarm jobs last month.

"I’m happy to work with Sen. Cruz on a bill to ensure that consumers know their household appliances are capable of invading their privacy,” said Democrat Sen. Maria Cantwell, Chair of the Senate Commerce & Science Committee, as she and the Texas Senator introduced a bill to make sure ​​​​​consumers know the growing number of "smart" appliances or devices in their homes are capable of transmitting audio and video data back to the manufacturers without their knowledge.

In a House Homeland Security Committee hearing earlier this week, I grilled Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about our nation's porous southern border and the safety of our homeland. As I pressed him, Secretary Mayorkas had no explanation for the number of illegal migrants – including Known & Suspected Terrorists (KSTs) crossing our border – and said once again, that the border is "secure." The crisis is worse than ever.

Washington, D.C. lawyers know that their last and only Wile E. Coyote chance of catching the Roadrunner – and now presidential candidate – is to get at least something on Donald Trump into the hands of a D.C. jury. So Joe Biden's Attorney General, Merrick Garland, just announced appointment of "Special Counsel" Jack Smith to further investigate Donald Trump... and we also now know the script of the 2024 Election from the last two elections.

“Voting is a distinct right and privilege that American Citizens enjoy in the United States. Voters decide not only who will lead our country, our cities and communities, but also how our tax dollars should be spent. Even the Washington Post agrees allowing non-citizens to vote is a terrible idea," said Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, introducing an effort to prohibit such voting after the Washington, D.C. City Council passed a measure to allow illegal aliens to vote in local elections.

Prior to Joe Biden taking office, America had some of the lowest illegal-immigration totals seen in decades. But during his short time in office, over 2 million each year are trying to enter the country illegally. Biden’s failure to execute America’s immigration laws "are the sole cause of Texas having to invoke our Constitutional Authority to defend ourselves” against mass invasion by Mexican drug cartels and illegal immigrants, says Gov. Greg Abbott.

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar asked the federal U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to provide flexibility for the Texas energy industry when considering whether to list the tricolored bat as an endangered species.

You can’t hear or read a story about her without hearing how “historic” the first female Speaker of the House was. *YAWN* One way in which they never characterize her is how historic it is to LOSE control of the House twice as Speaker, which is a rare feat in modern times. In the last two decades, retail prices for various insulin products have skyrocketed – in some cases increasing by 200% to 1000% – for a drug that is over 100 years old. Attorney General Paxton wants to know why, and will be looking at the key players in the insulin supply chain (including drug manufacturers, wholesalers and pharmacy benefit managers,) demanding information about the dramatic price increases.

Representative Jacey Jetton – along with dozens of other State Legislators – has filed his first round of legislation for the 88th Legislative Session that begins in January. Jetton’s legislation focuses on empowering Texas families by keeping communities safe, ensuring all Texas children have access to a high-quality education, and cutting property taxes.

A Federal Judge recently issued an order barring federal authorities from using Title 42 – a COVID-19 pandemic-era policy allowing the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security to rapidly expel illegal immigrants for health concerns – cancelling the policy without putting up any guardrails to deter illegal immigration in place. The decision only highlights the Biden White House’s "indifference to how severely our border communities are suffering from the border crisis."

Well surprise surprise. Joe Biden's $400 billion 2022 Election Bribe – also known as his "student loan forgiveness" idea – has been stopped dead in its tracks on two fronts. Fortunately, as evidenced by multiple court decisions slamming the door on his attempted abuse of power, we still have the Rule of Law in the United States. This country is not ruled by a president's pen. Instead, we are ruled by a Constitution – thank goodness.

In addition to Washington, D.C., New York City and Chicago, add the "Sanctuary City" of Philadelphia as the newest drop-off location for the Texas' busing deportation strategy as part of the Gov. Greg Abbott's unprecedented response to President Biden's open border policies that have overwhelmed the entire state and dozens of Texas Border Communities since Biden reversed the nation's efforts to stop the onslaught of illegal migrants flooding across the border. 

"What happened in November 8th's election in Harris County is absolutely abominable, and can NEVER happen again! That's why I will continue to champion voter integrity bills like Senate Bill 220. Citizens should have absolute confidence in their elections," said State Sen. Paul Bettencourt as he and State Rep. Valoree Swanson filed companion bills to give the Texas Secretary of State authority to deploy Texas Rangers to stop election cheating.
