The mandate is particularly harmful to black students, who are vaccinated at a lower rate than other students. D.C.’s vaccine mandate comes on the heels of two years of school shutdowns and remote learning – which led to substantial learning loss, particularly for students who were already struggling in school.
“Receipts from both Restaurants and Retail Trade were up at about the same rate as inflation prices for those sectors, possibly indicating a reduction in per capita spending as rising costs for housing and groceries claim a larger share of household budgets," said Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar, announcing October's $3.82 billion in Sales Tax Revenue was up 11.9% from a year ago.
I laugh every time I talk to friends who're all excited about their new "electric" cars. Most of them assume it doesn't pollute –and they go silent when I ask, "Where does your car's electricity come from?" They haven't even thought about that. In fact, every "electric vehicle" emits far more carbon dioxide in being manufactured and delivered to your driveway than do gas powered cars.
This election is about skyrocketing inflation at the grocery store and gas pump, exploding crime rates, unaffordable housing, a porous & hopelessly out of control Southern Border, and drag-queen shows in Elementary Schools – not to mention recession with spiraling interest rates. And America's "Undecideds" – who tend to not pay attention until the last 10 days before voting – are now breaking Republican as they realize the stakes.
"Representative Flynn was a man of exceptional character, who served his constituents faithfully and fought to uphold the fundamental freedoms that Texans value. He leaves behind an impressive legacy of leadership – and of selfless service to the people of Texas," said Texas' Gov. Greg Abbott, following the passing of former State Representative Dan Flynn.
The U.S. Air Force took responsibility for leaking the confidential personnel records of Jennifer-Ruth Green, a Veteran and candidate running in Indiana’s 1st Congressional District – but because the timing of the leak indicates this illegal act was politically motivated, this cannot go unpunished.
In just two short years, the Biden White House has enacted extensive & burdensome rules – and new bureaucratic paperwork on Small Businesses. Main Street America doesn’t need more burdensome regulations, they need less government and free market policies to help them grow and stay competitive. We cannot allow the Biden Administration to be derelict in their duty.

The only thing missing from the the Democrats’ cries and whining about the “threat to our democracy,” is any actual threat to our current system of government from anyone but themselves. The real threat that has Democrats upset is – the American public is threatening their hold on power by voting their worthless rear-ends out of office. And, Democrats are terrified!
President Biden recently pointed the finger at individual gas station owners and Texas oil refiners, suggesting that they somehow control global fuel supply and are, thus, responsible for high gas prices. When prices rise, blame everyone and everything except your own policies – but if prices fall, he's quick to take credit. Texas' legislators in D.C. cannot let these assertions go unchecked.
“Securing the safety of our children, and our southern border, are issues of paramount importance,” said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, announcing that $874.6 million will be allocated to the state agencies and programs responsible for addressing these critical issues. “This action ensures Texas is in a strong position to confront the issues head-on during the 2023 Legislative Session.”
"There are 5,000 'private' P.O. boxes in Harris County (Houston) alone, and there were 579 'Registered Voters' at a residence-business address in Wichita Falls," said State Senator Paul Bettencourt, after his Senate Bill 1111 addressing Election Integrity was upheld by the 5h Circuit Court of Appeals to make sure individuals who are registered to vote are registered at the residential address where they actually reside.
After an alarming increase in the rate at which social media companies have engaged in censorship – often against conservative points of view – and because of the direct threat such moves pose to American's 1st Amendment rights to free speech, a coalition of states is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to ensure individuals aren’t silenced merely because Big Tech companies disagree with their opinion.
"Together we will fix our economy, secure the border, protect Social Security, bring healthcare to our community, and make history. I know we can do this because I believe in South Texas and America — the place where everything is possible,” said Cassy Garcia after voting earlier today near her home northeast of San Antonio. National analysts are predicting the newly redrawn TX-28 race will be one of the closest in the country.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom survived his 2021 recall election by 24 points, the same margin by which he won the election in 2018. However, to keep his job he spent over $9 per voter versus $6 per voter to get his job.
Republican Herschel Walker has moved into the lead in the closely watched Georgia Senate race, and now leads Democrat Raphael Warnock by a 5% margin. Walker’s surge is due mainly to his 14% lead among "Independent" non-affiliated voters, who now back Walker 49%-35%. And, President Biden’s "Job Approval Rating" is underwater in the Peach State, with 51% of voters saying they "disapprove" of his job, including 44% who "Strongly Disapprove."
"Discussion Over, Taxpayers Win!" exclaimed Houston-based State Senator Paul Bettencourt – who formerly served as Harris County's Tax Collector-Assessor – adding that "The three member (Democrat) majority on the Commissioners Court finally recognized the obvious. A 'No-New-Revenue-Tax-Rate' will be adopted for all of Harris County's taxing jurisdictions."
