"Our various investment funds' focus should be on getting the best return on their funds. If companies they invest in take positions that harm Texas, they need to re-evaluate those investments," said Texas' Lt. Gov. After the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis reported Thursday that the nation's Gross Domestic Product showed a negative -1.4% Growth Rate in the 1st Quarter of 2022,  the Ranking Member of the House Ways & Means Committee, Cong. Kevin Brady of Houston said, “This devastating report is a clear signal of America heading toward recession. Under President Biden’s leadership, our economy is now shrinking."
