Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced today that he has appointed Sen. Eddie Lucio, Jr., D-Brownsville, to serve as vice chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. Sen. Lucio replaces Sen. Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa, D-McAllen.

"The Air Force will find no better location for the U.S. Space Command than Port San Antonio," said Texas Governor Greg Abbott, after the Department of the U.S. Air Force selected San Antonio as one of the six finalists for the U.S. Space Command Headquarters.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) issued  the following statement on the Air Force’s announcement that San Antonio, Texas has been selected as one of the of six finalist locations to host the U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) headquarters following the evaluation phase of the selection process.

Attorney General Ken Paxton today announced that the Office of the Attorney General’s Child Support Division set a new record by collecting more than $4.8 billion in child support for the state fiscal year 2020.
