As a result of a marathon floor session last Wednesday, the Texas House approved three monumental border security bills – and legislation banning COVID-19 vaccine requirements by private employers. They also designated drug cartels as terrorist organizations and increased penalties on fentanyl smuggling coming across the border.  Here's what's next for those bills

During his first speech as Speaker of the House, Cong. If the Department of the Interior deems a species endangered, then it grants unelected federal bureaucrats power over Texans’ land even though scientists have never directly observed either species in their natural subterranean habitat.

Sen. Ted Cruz doesn’t think kids should have unfettered access to social media apps while in school. He’s proposed legislation, “The Eyes on the Board Act,” which would limit children’s access to the sites by requiring schools that receive federal broadband funding to cut off access on networks and devices they subsidize.

We are now witnessing the second week of one of the darkest times in Israel's history. Governor Greg Abbott celebrated Texas breaking all previous records for total jobs for two years straight following the release of September employment data. The state also again surpassed all previous records for the total number of Texans working – and the total size of the Texas Labor Force – leading the nation for jobs added over the month and over the last 12 months.

The Dallas Morning News Editorial Board voiced its support for Sen. Ted Cruz’s recently introduced legislation to curb social media use in elementary and secondary schools. The Dallas paper endorsed Cruz’s Eyes on the Board Act as “the right policy at the right time,” highlighting growing evidence linking social media and screen addiction with declining mental health in teens.
