Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he is distributing the first round of payments from the "Opioid Abatement Trust Fund," with an initial transfer of $47.1 million to cities and counties to address the opioid-related harm in their communities. These transfers will continue over many years based on the terms of the Statewide Opioid Litigation Settlement Agreements.
