Most students of history have likely pondered the question: Is it the times that make the man, or is it the man that makes the times? The question, though superficially intriguing, seems to have an easy enough answer: Sometimes it is the times that make the man, and sometimes it is the man that makes the times. Rarest of all is the man who is both summoned and elevated by the times, on the one hand, and who has the courage and conviction to shape the times in return, on the other hand. It is this lattermost group of men who we might refer to as the truly great men of history.

Sure, failure is cooked into Democrat's crazy liberal policies – but how many times do they have to fail before Americans see that California's a disaster, New York's being pummeled by a Socialist Mayor, and dozens of weekend murders in Chicago have gone on for years? The Left's brought us Open Borders, Transgender Insanity, High Crime & Taxes – possibly even acne. Do they love misery? And why don’t we give it up?

It truly is something to behold, the way President Donald Trump plays these Democrats like a cat swats around a mouse. The only difference in that dynamic is that the mouse can’t help itself; it doesn’t know it’s being played. Democrats…well, maybe they are only as smart as a mouse. It’s tough to know. The only things that can be known are just how pathetic Democrats are, and Donald Trump lives rent-free in their head, their dreams and in every breath they take.

So out of nowhere, the public's warned that a scorching planet earth will be inundated by rising seas in a mere decade. Or that millions of transgender youth are our next civil rights frontier. Neither come true – nor ever were true – so how do such crazy bouts of madness so quickly become policy, law, and the status quo? There's usually a multi-step process to these self-destructive fits of insanity being accepted – or jammed down our throats.

Sometimes what people say reveals their true character. Other times, what they threaten reveals the Soul of a Movement. Recent comments by former Obama & Biden official Susan Rice — which are being repeated and amplified by her Democrat allies — reveal not just political rancor, but a startling willingness by The Left to endorse political retribution against American citizens simply for holding different views. And they're not policy disagreements – they're veiled threats.

The recent Democratic polling for Election 2028 has been posted. There’s a field, although not a very compelling one. Some governors in blue states that people can’t flee from fast enough, progressive twits who can’t speak English all that well, and some would-be moderates hoping to recoup the working classes that broke for Trump and the Republicans in 2016 and 2024. And then there’s California Gavin Newsom. Is he the new thing that Democrats are looking for to lead them into 2028?

It was a Trumpian take, followed by an implicit denunciation of opening up trade relations with China. But rather than dwell on that critique, Marco Rubio's speech delivered at the Munich Security Conference segued back to "centuries of shared history, Christian faith, culture, heritage, language, ancestry," all parts of "the common civilization to which we have fallen heir." The audience, as evidenced by its standing ovation, took Rubio's tough but futuristic comments as compliments.

When you hear that Donald Trump and, by extension, we patriots are the most fascist, racist, sexist, corrupt, perverted, and also fascist monsters in the history of ever, you have to wonder something. You don’t wonder why they’re saying it. You know why they’re saying it. They’re liars and dirtbags, and they are losing their grip on power, and they’re desperate. What you have to wonder is “Where do they go from here?”

In a recent story about another tragic school shooting, the AP-Associated Press provided the shooter’s name, their age, and talked about possible issues with mental health. But something felt wrong, so I searched and found a story on “LGBTQ Nation” that provided the full details about the shooter – an 18-year-old trans woman. That fact is critical given that at least three other recent shootings have connections to the transgender movement. If the storied Associated Press promotes itself as being unbiased, why isn’t it?

Decades ago, the Democratic Party had leaders like Presidents Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy who were proud of our country and our citizens. These leaders would have never embarked on a foreign “apology tour” like Former President Barack Obama or allowed our country to be invaded by millions of illegal immigrants like Former President Joe Biden. In the 1980’s, a coalition of moderate congressional Democrats known as the “Blue Dogs” assisted President Ronald Reagan.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez flew to Munich, Germany, this week to participate a Security Conference where she and her fellow Democrats whine about their claim that the President is a "fascist" in the home of fascism, “genocide” in Gaza in the places where real genocidal plans were hatches, and "Climate Change" (in person) when they could have simply done a Zoom call and saved the “carbon footprint” of the flight.

The House is expected to pass the SAVE America Act, after which it will move to the Senate. The challenge will be in the Senate, where at least seven Democrats are needed to join 53 Republicans to reach the 60 needed to pass the filibuster plateau. Should this bill be passed and signed into law? Absolutely. The core premise of this bill is beyond any question or dispute -- that anyone voting in a federal election must be a U.S. citizen and provide documentation to prove it.

Well, with an Election Year upon us and Early Voting starting next week, it will soon be the season for the shifting winds & fleeting alliances to determine who will be Texas House Speaker in 2027. And because the Speaker is elected by the sitting members of the House, that means the Texas GOP’s leadership (read the State Republican Executive Committee,) has already tried to influence the race by bullying some great candidates and incumbents not to run in the party's primary. Beware the so-called "Purity Test."

Remember when Americans spoke in November 2024 and elected President Trump to restore the Rule of Law at our border and carry out the largest deportation effort in our nation’s history? Well, the Democrats have forgotten it. In fact, protests in Minnesota and the approaching Government Shutdown standoff is about whether Immigration Law will be enforced at all – and that's what the Democrats want.

A strange thing happened during a recent U.S. Supreme Court Hearing. Justice Samuel Alito asked: “What does it mean to be male or female — especially when the law provides sex-based protections like separate athletic teams?” The attorney’s response was startling & absurd: “We do not have a definition for the court.” Read that again. And, don't women’s sports exist because biology is real?

President Trump may have just delivered the most historic week for Prescription Drug Reform ever. Congress has talked about lowering drug prices forever, and Democrats even shut down the government down last year claiming that would help. It didn't, BUT then on Thursday Trump RX was launched – and its impacts will be real. Think of it as Google Hotels or Google Flights for drug pricing, routing consumers to the cheapest prices around.

There are some people who should be grateful that breathing is a reflex. If it required any mental ability whatsoever, they would suffocate on the street having forgotten to do it. These people should be pitied, but Democrats hold them up as aspirational figures. I get why they do it – Democrats actually have very little to be proud of. But what is disturbing is that so many are even more dumb to fall for it.

By enforcing the immigration laws against those who are violating them in this country, the Trump administration has deterred illegal border crossings. According to DHS, the Border Patrol encountered a daily average of 5,110 individuals at the southwest border during the Biden administration, while daily encounters averaged only 251 in the first year of Trump's second term. This country must never go back to former President Joe Biden's open borders.

As cities descend into repeated cycles of chaos and lives are lost in Minnesota, Americans are asking a simple question: how did we get here? Many Americans, understandably shocked, look at the protests, the violence, and the loss of life and point to immediate causes. Some cite fraud and corruption in federally funded social programs, apparently tolerated by state officials. Others point to aggressive enforcement of immigration law that sparked deadly confrontations. But these are symptoms, not the cause.
