This crony bill recently received a congressional committee's approval – but not before Sen. Rand Paul voiced his objection due to small businesses’ opposition to it. In a separate hearing months earlier, Sen. Ted Cruz echoed Sen. Paul’s concerns, saying the  FTC "previously conducted robust economic analysis of PBMs, and found that PBMs benefit consumers by lowering drug prices.”

We are embarking on something nearly unheard of: For just the 3rd time in the storied history of our state under its current constitution, the Texas House of Representatives has impeached a State Officer. When the House cast an overwhelming vote to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, we fully understood the gravity. In fact, Mr. Paxton must be held accountable for his flagrant abuses of office – and of the public's trust.

When the new Chairman and CEO, Chris Licht, got the job, it was made abundantly clear that he was not going to take that path, that he was going to fudge around the edges. That was never going to work because the problems of CNN are fundamental, not cosmetic. It needs to be destroyed and remade, or it will die a slow, painful death.

Watching President Gumby trip all over mystery sandbags at the Air Force Academy just reinforces what we all already know: He’s a senile, desiccated, crusty weirdo with delusions of mental competence. And no one cares – at least no one with the power to put this broken nag out to pasture. The mass of normal people might care if they really understood just how far the decay's gotten.

In fairness, the McCarthy-Biden plan asserts something they call “Administrative Pay-Go.” It ostensibly requires bureaucrats to demonstrate how they pay for new programs or increases in spending. Sounds good, right? Except Congress has had a similar program for many years without it slowing down our spending. The original bill passed out of the House last month with a savings of some $131 billion.

Yes, the Woke Left still enjoys enormous advantages over the Right – a bicoastal elite with far more money, and domination in the dissemination of knowledge through traditional and social media. But the Left does not enjoy majority support with the American Public. And now it's managed to do the impossible – its goaded a normally comatose conservative dragon to awaken, and it is just starting to breathe fire.

If Republican leaders nationally took the advice of those of us who represent Middle America to broadcast the specifics of their message, would it have been received in a more penetrating and effective way with the American Public? I now have the same worry for Republicans in the Texas State Legislature... especially when it comes to the issue of Property Taxes. Texans are waiting at their homes.

House Republicans proposed requiring food stamp recipients and people on Medicaid to work 20 hours a week or participate in some job-readiness activity such as training, high school equivalency courses or substance abuse treatment. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy explained that government assistance programs are supposed to be "temporary, not permanent" and "a bridge to independence" rather than a lifestyle.

Even for those on the left who didn’t live in heavily locked down areas, their paranoia made them take their own steps to isolate themselves from society. We all know the families who disappeared; they stopped going to church, the gym, and other social activities, refused to let their children participate in sports or hang out with other children due to the brainwashing, which caused a disturbingly sad increase in mental illness among children.

If your “identity” is based on who you sleep with, you suck at life. If you’re a pin-cushion for perverts to shock straight people, you're a pathetic creature. Have some dignity. Florida is removing children’s books with graphic depictions of sex – particularly between men and boys – from public school libraries (though adults can buy them anywhere). It’s just like the Holocaust… or so we’re told.

The Left is waging a full-fledged Revolution against the citizens of United States and is systematically destroying America. Special-counsel John Durham issued his final report, it details a multitude of wrongdoing within the FBI, the CIA and the U.S. Dept. of Justice – and confirms our nation's own investigatory intelligence agencies interfered in the 2016 and 2020 Presidential Elections. They lied under oath. They misled Congress.

Thieves go into drugstores carrying calculators to make sure that the value of the items they're stealing don't exceed what their state's laws define as a misdemeanor – $1,000 or less in New York and most states. Shoplifters will actually put items back on the shelf to avoid felony jail time. "We have individuals that've been arrested over 30 times just this year," but they're still on the streets.

Currently, there is no school choice in the Lone Star State for low-income parents. Gov. Greg Abbott and a broad coalition of parent groups are pushing for the state House to clear a historic education savings account bill that has already passed the State Senate, and the opponents fail to acknowledge the bill they oppose actually directs more money per student for rural schools – and higher pay for teachers.

The power-hungry Democrat enemy hates us – and is dead serious about converting its hatred into policy. From legalizing crime, to weaponizing the government against us, from disenfranchising us at the ballot box, to disarming us in our homes, to gagging us on social media and leveraging the regime media to hide the truth and amplify the lies, this is a cold war where we become serfs if we don’t win.

We must recognize and appreciate the sacrifices made by these heroes in blue.  Texas is a state that values law and order and our law enforcement officers work tirelessly to uphold these principles. They face a wide range of challenges, from tackling violent crime and drug trafficking to managing traffic safety and responding to emergencies.

Gary Moretti and his fiancée booked 30 rooms at Newburgh, NY's Crossroads Hotel for their upcoming June 24th wedding – but New York City Mayor Eric Adams quickly demolished their plans and forced the hotel to cancel the couple's Legal Contract so he could implement his new "Illegal Immigrant's 1st, Everyone Else Last" policy. Nearly two dozen struggling Homeless Veterans also got the boot, some who'd served in Vietnam or Afghanistan.

The U.S. Dept. of Justice & FBI "failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law." Instead, a hoax was perpetuated on the American People – by the highest levels of our Federal Government – despite the fact that "neither the U.S. nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion" to investigate allegations that Donald Trump's 2016 campaign colluded with Russia.

The left's censorship efforts continue. Last week, Townhall published a column warning about the dangers of President Biden's open border policies and their implications on national security. It was written by retired Navy Captain Hung Cao, who came to America as a child and refugee from Vietnam. Remarkably, when Mr. Cao's op-ed was posted on Facebook, it was flagged as "hate speech" and eliminated from circulation. 

In a free and affluent country, there will always be clustering, as people choose to live in neighborhoods with congenial churches and stores, near neighbors with similar tastes or values, connected to schools and venues where their children make friends and find mates. And often some segregation is unproblematic, while other segregation, namely, separating people of one race from another, is legally suspect and loathsome.

Most Democrat politicians are demanding unfettered "freedom" for the homeless to live on the streets. Advocates are taking over NYC Subway Stations, dominating the media with their "demands." And too little's being said about the needs of Regular Americans! What about the rights of Pedro Morales in Austin, Texas? The small-business owner had a homeless encampment pop up in the alley next to the building he owns?
