HEGAR: State Sales Tax Revenue Totaled $3.4 Billion in March

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said that State Sales Tax Revenue totaled $3.37 billion in March, a 28.5% increase over the pandemic-influenced month of March 2021. However, after adjusting last year’s March totals to account for February sales tax returns not collected until March 2021 due to Winter Storm Uri, March 2022 sales tax revenue was up 37.2% over comparable collections last year.

Lt. Gov. Patrick Releases List of 84 'Interim Charges' for Texas Senate Prior to 2023 Session

“The interim charges released today reflect the priorities Texans shared with me as I traveled the state, and those of the members of the Texas Senate. Senators submitted nearly 600 policy recommendations to study before next session. The committees will begin work in the coming weeks," said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, releasing the final 84 "charges" for study during the interim before the 88th Legislative Session begins in January.

As Another Key Inflation Gauge Sets 40-Year High, Average U.S. Households Will Pay $5,200 More in 2022
