You can’t hear or read a story about her without hearing how “historic” the first female Speaker of the House was. *YAWN* One way in which they never characterize her is how historic it is to LOSE control of the House twice as Speaker, which is a rare feat in modern times. But, whatever. She’s historic…and so was the Titanic.

In the last two decades, retail prices for various insulin products have skyrocketed – in some cases increasing by 200% to 1000% – for a drug that is over 100 years old. Attorney General Paxton wants to know why, and will be looking at the key players in the insulin supply chain (including drug manufacturers, wholesalers and pharmacy benefit managers,) demanding information about the dramatic price increases.

A Federal Judge recently issued an order barring federal authorities from using Title 42 – a COVID-19 pandemic-era policy allowing the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security to rapidly expel illegal immigrants for health concerns – cancelling the policy without putting up any guardrails to deter illegal immigration in place. The decision only highlights the Biden White House’s "indifference to how severely our border communities are suffering from the border crisis."

Well surprise surprise. Joe Biden's $400 billion 2022 Election Bribe – also known as his "student loan forgiveness" idea – has been stopped dead in its tracks on two fronts. Fortunately, as evidenced by multiple court decisions slamming the door on his attempted abuse of power, we still have the Rule of Law in the United States. This country is not ruled by a president's pen. Instead, we are ruled by a Constitution – thank goodness.

In addition to Washington, D.C., New York City and Chicago, add the "Sanctuary City" of Philadelphia as the newest drop-off location for the Texas' busing deportation strategy as part of the Gov. Greg Abbott's unprecedented response to President Biden's open border policies that have overwhelmed the entire state and dozens of Texas Border Communities since Biden reversed the nation's efforts to stop the onslaught of illegal migrants flooding across the border. 

"What happened in November 8th's election in Harris County is absolutely abominable, and can NEVER happen again! That's why I will continue to champion voter integrity bills like Senate Bill 220. Citizens should have absolute confidence in their elections," said State Sen. Paul Bettencourt as he and State Rep. Valoree Swanson filed companion bills to give the Texas Secretary of State authority to deploy Texas Rangers to stop election cheating.

“Joe Biden and his administration view Israel and Prime Minister-elect Benjamin Netanyahu as political enemies, and they're responding the same way they respond to all their political enemies: by unleashing the FBI. This underscores how corrupt and blatantly politicized the Justice Department has become," said Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, a Senate Foreign Relations Committee member, after reports the Biden White House seeks to open an FBI investigation into Israel.

"The other 253 counties in Texas seem to be able to conduct elections with few problems, but Harris County continues to be the outlier. Whether gross incompetence or willful misconduct, voters deserve a detailed examination of the events surrounding last week's election," said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick earlier today. "Gov. Greg Abbott is absolutely right to be calling for an investigation into Harris County's election-related conduct."

There’s no need for an autopsy – there's already no shortage of people offering their hot takes on why Republicans did so poorly in the mid-terms. But, if Republicans get good at ballot harvesting and pressuring people to vote early, or by mail, or absentee, etc., you might see Democrats call for ending those things because of it. As long as garbage voting rules are in place in various "battleground" states across the country, Republicans need to get good at them.

And the Chinese Communist Party isn't even trying much to hide their intent. But is the United States prepared to fight a war for control of Planet Earth if that’s where we’re headed?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is preparing to announce its new privacy-related rules for online businesses, and with the November 21st comment period deadline approaching, Sen. Cruz is calling on the FTC to release its Social Media & Video Streaming Privacy Report to allow interested parties access to information regarding potential FTC actions involving Amazon, Facebook, Reddit, Snap, Twitter, YouTube and others.

"Texas has forcefully responded to (President) Biden’s open border policies by doing more than any state in the history of America. In January 2023, when the next Congress is sworn in, we must remind our representatives in Washington that securing the border is the federal government’s responsibility," said Gov. Greg Abbott in a letter to County Judges along the Texas-Mexico Border.

Governor Greg Abbott recently issued a proclamation recognizing "Texas Apprenticeship Week" to spotlight the importance apprenticeship programs can have as a workforce and economic development tool, and Texas' celebration coincides with "National Apprenticeship Week" to showcase ways Texas employers can find and retain the employees needed to remain competitive in a global economy.

We get two-thirds of our energy in America from fossil fuels, and almost one-third of our power comes from coal. That's quadruple the amount from wind and solar, yet Mr. Biden recently restated his pledge to end coal production altogether – and the jobs that come with them. One small problem: Most of the rest of the world is using more coal, even as Biden hamstrings our economy by trying to use less.

Texas has also bused almost 8,300 migrants to our nation's capital since April, over 3,700 migrants to New York City since August 5th, and more than 1,200 migrants to Chicago since August 31st. The busing mission is providing much-needed relief to our overwhelmed Border Communities, and in the fight against fentanyl DPS has seized over 350 million lethal doses.

Under the Biden White House, Americans have seen small businesses under a regulatory attack – dealing with economic headwinds from inflation, supply chain issues, and labor shortages.  But, I plan to continue to fight back against the Democrats' radical policies that restricts Main Street America, and halt any economic progress.
