As we've just celebrated Veterans Day, I'm compelled to express my deepest gratitude for the unwavering dedication and sacrifice our military heroes and their families make in service to our nation. Also of concern to our nation, this past week marked one month since the brutal attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists. Israel is abiding by the Law of Armed Conflict – Hamas is repeatedly violating it.
"This bill prohibits private employers from requiring employees to get a COVID vaccination – and employers that violate the law are subject to a $50,000 fine as well as a lawsuit and injunctive relief from the Texas AG," said Gov. Greg Abbott, signing into law the bill banning COVID-19 vaccine mandates by private employers that passed during the 3rd Special Legislative Session. The new law protects the personal healthcare choices and livelihoods of Texans, and their conditions of employment.

This Saturday, November 11th, we celebrate Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice Day. This day is reserved to honor military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. It also marks the anniversary of the end of World War I. Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. At the urging of major U.S. veteran organizations, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day in 1954. Saturday, Veterans and their families will celebrate at Parades, Marches & Flag Raising Ceremonies to honor all those who served.

This is not the first time in District 23 that American bystanders have been casualties of this Border Crisis. While Texas has seen some relief from drought conditions, abnormally low relative humidity and wildfires this fall, extreme wildfire conditions have increased and are expanding across the Southeastern United States. There is no gray area here. President LOLEightyOneMillion can pretend to be a staunch ally of Israel all he wants, but the line between right and wrong was drawn by Hamas on Oct. 7th. Joe and the Democrats can to try to straddle the line, but if the United States of America is seen as wavering in support of its strongest ally – once the worst of humanity thinks it has carte blanche because America is weak – this planet is toast.
