Americans are about to learn a lesson in economics. Despite the economic insights of Joe Biden and his administration, there’s no changing it – inflation is not evidence that "all is well." Ground beef that you use to make cheeseburgers, like any real American, is twice as expensive as it was ​​​a​ year ago.

Seven years ago California’s so-called "progressives" passed Proposition 47, a sentencing “reform” measure that among other things essentially decriminalized retail theft by making stealing anything valued at less than $950 a mere misdemeanor. Now even suburban Californians are being hit by a crime wave like none that's ever hit them before.

According to Politico the Democrat Governors Association “has no plans to give significant financial help to Florida Democrats” in their effort to take out Gov. Ron DeSantis in next year's race for governor. While the DGA has “bristled” at those reports – and insists they are putting up a fight – one number certainly isn't helping boost confidence: Registered Republicans vs. Registered Democrats. 

New polling shows Americans still hate Socialism, but there's a new twist – more & more Democrat politicians embrace "Socialism." And, while Americans hate Socialism, there's something Americans actually hate even more than Socialism: the U.S. Federal Government. Yes, the only thing hated worse than Socialism is a Federal Government run by Mr. Biden and his lousy Democrats.

Just as criminals tend to avoid places with effective security and bullies prey on people they perceive as unable or unwilling to fight back, so, too, do leaders of "evil empires" feel emboldened when they conclude they'll not be effectively opposed by the "strongest nation in the world." That would be a nation under President Biden – which is increasingly seen by our adversaries as feeble.

Long after it was clear that COVID was dangerous nearly exclusively for older people and the obese, Fauci lied, just as he once lied about AIDS being a risk for heterosexuals long after it became clear that it was almost entirely a problem for gay men and intravenous drug users.

I received a phone call on my radio show from a man who said, "Dennis, I'm a gay conservative actor in Hollywood, and it is far easier to come out of the closet as gay than as a conservative."

Try to imagine a President doing a worse job than Joe Biden. Think about how that would even be possible. Remember Joe Biden one year ago Friday? “I’m gonna ask the public for 100 days to mask, just 100 days. Not forever, 100 days. And I think we’ll see a significant reduction if we occur that, if, if, if, if that occurs with vaccinations and masking to drive down the numbers considerably.”

Human beings are by nature tribal. We are tribal because our ancestors were tribal. Our ancestors were tribal because tribalism had evolutionary survival value. Someone who loved his neighbor (that is, a member of another tribe) as much as himself would not have been of much value in tribal warfare. That brings us to the notion of "systemic racism."

Millions of citizens long ago concluded that Professional Sports, Academia, and Entertainment were no longer disinterested American "institutions," but rather are far Left and deliberately hostile to Middle America. Mass looting are now going unpunished, and indictments are often aimed as much against those who defend themselves as they are against the criminals who attack the innocent.

After Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted for self-defense in the death of two men who attacked him during a riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the one thing that was guaranteed to outrage the liberal media mob was Rittenhouse doing a "victory lap" on Tucker Carlson's top-rated Fox show.

When the leader of your party can only be viewed as popular when compared to the number 2 person in your party, your party has problems. That’s where Democrats find themselves right now. The only person voters like less than President Joe Biden is Vice President Kamala Harris

President Joe Biden is using the vaccine mandate (and vaccine passport to come) as a Trojan horse. In other words, it looks like he's trying to protect America and save lives, when in reality he's using this vaccine mandate as a cover story to destroy the U.S. economy, capitalism and the great American middle class, all at once.

What's wrong with the economy? Nobody seems quite sure, but it's clear that the Biden Administration's $1.9 trillion stimulus tax & spend package passed in March has not had the intended results. My view is that economists – like political scientists – have been over-fixated on Republican collapses and Democratic successes. Inflation isn't going away.

In the case of the NBC News' race-baiting host – ironically named Joy Reid – every bit of her is ugly. She finds race everywhere, especially when it’s not there. Reid’s job is to make even the idea of straying from the Herd of Liberalism so unacceptable... to make the consequences so terrible, that no one dares to do so – at least publicly.

When Joe Biden claimed his “Build Back Better Agenda costs zero dollars,” the Washington Post gave him Two Pinocchios. Yet if you get your news from the New York Times’ editorial page – or from CNN or MSNBC – you might be inclined to agree with Biden. In fact, one definition of a liberal is someone who sees the benefits in every progressive program – but ignores all the costs.

I get that this silly pandemic has been the most exciting, edgy, and interesting thing that will ever happen to many of our fellow citizens. It’s been their chance to cocoon in their condos watching Netflix, and feel like they are cheating death. But to the rest of us, it’s a pain in the Schumer – and we’ve done gone along with the whining sissies for too long. The pandemic is over. We won. Deal with it.

Glenn Youngkin's 51-49 victory for governor in Virginia, which Biden won by 10% in 2020, and Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy's reelection by only 51-49 in New Jersey, which had been +16% for Biden. Barring an upward shift in public opinion, Democrats will surely lose their narrow House majority in the House and likely lose their current 50-50 parity in the Senate.

But as things stand now, one has to wonder how Kamala Harris even remains on the ticket in 2024 – regardless of who the nominee might be. A USA Today-Suffolk Poll finds that just 28% of voters — less than 3 in 10 — approve of the job Harris is doing.
