It starts in East St. Louis, Illinois, moves steadily north to Springfield, home of Abraham Lincoln about 90 miles away, and then takes a sharp turn east before reaching Decatur & Champaign about 80 miles away from Springfield. It’s less a Congressional District than a road trip – and it bears a resemblance to the original "gerrymander" of 1812. The only point of the new 13th-District lines in Democrat-controlled Illinois was to flip the seat to a Democrat.
For months former CIA Director John Brennan was on “Morning Joe” and other outlets spinning unhinged conspiratorial rants by using his former position to suggest much more would be divulged – yet he admitted to Special Counsel Investigators there'd been “no conspiracy” of Russian "collusion" to help Donald Trump in the 2016 Election. To understand what little regard Brennan has for truth, let's recall a 2020 email uncovered by the House Judiciary Committee.
On the eve of 2016's Election, President Obama's CIA Director John Brennan sent a “Fusion Cell” memo to Mr. Obama summarizing all the most secret intelligence the agency had collected on Donald Trump – and Russia. Brennan’s Nov. 6 Memo concluded: “Putin expected [Hillary Clinton] to win.” But then in early December – as Mr. Trump's stunning victory rocked Democrats to the bone – Obama ordered a "new assessment," and Brennan took the lead.
What is Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard upset about? What was known to John Brennan, James Clapper, to James Comey and others as well. They reversed the opinions & advice of their own Intelligence Officers regarding what constituted reliably sourced intelligence, and fabricated their own "Russian Collusion Analysis." And then, according to the wishes of Barack Obama, they took the lie to the American Public.
As the nation’s top exporter of manufactured goods – many of which rely on plastic – Texas stands to benefit significantly from some newly proposed policy recommendations coming out of Washington that have the potential to energize local Lone Star State industries & job growth. A new report unveiled during testimony to the House of Representatives last week has details for Texas’s economy, and workforce here.
Rarely does one find such red-hot smoking guns as proof of wrongdoing, let alone for "Treasonous Conspiracy." Imagine a sitting U.S. president – who in conjunction with his Senior-most National Security Team – fabricated intelligence at the president's instruction so as to undermine his successor. Barack Obama and his senior officials left a digital trail – and then along came Tulsi Gabbard, a former Vice Chair of the Democrat National Party, no less.
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced the Texas Senate's legislative initiatives for this summer's first Special Session of the 89th Legislature earlier today. Addressing the issue of Consumable Hemp-Derived Products that offer a similar high to marijuana – and are now widely available across Texas thanks to a loophole in a previous law – was initially seen as the most high-profile item anticipated for the session.
With varying degrees of scorn or anger, Democrats have for years denied that they are Communists. Now, however, the deniability is no longer even close to plausible. This time it’s real – and undeniable. The Communists are clearly the future of the Democrat Party. Hating America and having a taste for Marxism goes with being a Democrat like arrogance and self-righteousness go with being Barack Obama.
The summer months are often the most anticipated months of the year – especially when there's so much to see & do across Texas. But research shows that when children read just 4 to 6 books over the summer, it prevents a decline in reading achievement from the spring to fall semesters. Even small steps are beneficial. So while summer's a great time to be outside, here's a few tips to keep our kids reading this summer.
Since President Donald Trump's return to power earlier this year, it's fueled a plunge in the Democrat Party's favorable ratings – which have already hit historic lows in several surveys this year. But the latest responses from 1,290 "Registered Voters" are now at a new record low since March 2009, when the Quinnipiac first began asking "Congressional Approval" questions 16 years ago.
The surprising win by Democrat-Socialist Zohran Mamdani in New York City's mayoral primary will put the failures of Socialism – and Democrats Nationwide – in the spotlight said liberal media commentator and former Clinton advisor James Carville in a Washington Post op-ed Wednesday. He laid down a frightening warning for Democrats for nominating a far-left, 33-year old Muslim and American critic.
Texas homeschool families are celebrating a series of legislative victories as three key bills – aimed at ensuring equal treatment and expanding opportunities – have now been officially signed by Governor Greg Abbott. HB 3041 was signed by the Governor on June 20, 2025, HB 2674 was signed by the Governor on June 20, 2025, SB 401 was signed by the Governor on June 21, 2025.
President Trump is enraged that the Fed didn't lower interest rates last week. He – and many economists – believe lowering the Federal Funds Rate would lower the government's borrowing costs, but there's an easier way to lower them (and the deficit) without risking inflation. Ending this one Obama-era regulation that penalizes banks for buying U.S. Treasuries would saving Uncle Sam up to $70 billion a year.
Gov. Greg Abbott recently signed House Bill 2 into law – and injected $8.5 billion into the Texas Public Education System. This much-needed funding is especially important for Students & Teachers, because over $4 billion is earmarked for teacher salary increases. It was notable that JoMeka Gray – a Temple kindergarten Teacher of the Year & a Texas Teacher of the Year finalist – sat next to him as Gov. Abbott signed the bill into law.
"Most businesses in Texas are actually small businesses – and they employ about half of all employees around the state. So we wanted to make sure that we passed laws to would improve the process of doing business in Texas, and reduced barriers for small businesses and ordinary Texans. We took strategic steps to achieve just that," said Gov. Abbott of the bills – including one that increases Business Personal Property Tax Exemptions.
In 1992 I patrolled parts of LA during the Rodney King Riots. Looters ran wild, businesses burned, and chaos reigned – until Republican Gov. Pete Wilson & President George H.W. Bush called up the National Guard and invoked "The Insurrection Act," sending 3,500 Federal Troops, active duty Army & Marines, to back 10,000 Federalized Guardsmen. I was a California Army National Guard Captain, order swiftly returned – and it worked.
Comptroller Glenn Hegar & Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick began to work in 2021 to have Texas lead the nation in reversing the woke left's Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) policy designed to harm Energy Companies as part of the Climate Wars. But, while Patrick & Hegar deserve enormous credit for turning the tide, the Wall Street Journal now says that Texas A.G. Ken Paxton is behind a lawsuit that stands in stark contrast to Patrick & Hegar's leadership.
“Essentially, whoever used the autopen was the president. It’s a very bad thing, very dangerous," President Trump told reporters in the Oval Office the day after directing his administration to investigate if President Biden was aware of the actions taken in his name – while a watchdog group said today it has now identified three different autopen signature machines were used by the Biden White House staff.
The "Mr. South Texas" designation is presented to a deserving individual who has made a significant and lasting contribution to the growth & development of Laredo and/or the South Texas Region – and the Mr. South Texas Selection Committee Members take great effort in creating an all-inclusive nominating pool of candidates from all walks of life who have made a significant impact on the area.
As Americans increasingly come to appreciate efforts in D.C. to reverse Joe Biden’s long list of burdensome and arbitrary regulations, Texas State Senator Tan Parker is leading a push in the Lone Star State urging Congress to pass laws like the "FIRM Act" – an effort to ensure innocent law-abiding customers are not ensnared by unfair and onerous directives from the Federal Government.
