President Trump is enraged that the Fed didn't lower interest rates last week. He – and many economists – believe lowering the Federal Funds Rate would lower the government's borrowing costs, but there's an easier way to lower them (and the deficit) without risking inflation. Ending this one Obama-era regulation that penalizes banks for buying U.S. Treasuries would saving Uncle Sam up to $70 billion a year.

Gov. Greg Abbott recently signed House Bill 2 into law – and injected $8.5 billion into the Texas Public Education System. This much-needed funding is especially important for Students & Teachers, because over $4 billion is earmarked for teacher salary increases. It was notable that JoMeka Gray – a Temple kindergarten Teacher of the Year & a Texas Teacher of the Year finalist – sat next to him as Gov. Abbott signed the bill into law.

"Most businesses in Texas are actually small businesses – and they employ about half of all employees around the state. So we wanted to make sure that we passed laws to would improve the process of doing business in Texas, and reduced barriers for small businesses and ordinary Texans. We took strategic steps to achieve just that," said Gov. Abbott of the bills – including one that increases Business Personal Property Tax Exemptions.

In 1992 I patrolled parts of LA during the Rodney King Riots. Looters ran wild, businesses burned, and chaos reigned – until Republican Gov. Pete Wilson & President George H.W. Bush called up the National Guard and invoked "The Insurrection Act," sending 3,500 Federal Troops, active duty Army & Marines, to back 10,000 Federalized Guardsmen. I was a California Army National Guard Captain, order swiftly returned – and it worked.

Comptroller Glenn Hegar & Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick began to work in 2021 to have Texas lead the nation in reversing the woke left's Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) policy designed to harm Energy Companies as part of the Climate Wars.
