TXOGA: With 2,800 New Jobs in August, Growth Continues in Texas' Upstream Oil & Gas Sectors

"Every direct oil and natural gas job in Texas generates an additional 3.0 jobs elsewhere in the state's economy," said Texas Oil & Gas Association (TXOGA) president Todd Staples. Compared to August 2020 numbers, 2021's upstream jobs have increased 12.4%, or 19,700 jobs – and August’s job count stands 13.3% above the industry's September 2020 low point.
