When the story about that botched Journalism School hiring at Texas A&M broke recently, I wrote it off as just more left-wing propaganda. But in light of what’s taken place, turns out it’s about more than just a squabble about whether a professor – fixated on diversity – should re-start a journalism department. Its exposed the false notion that journalism schools teach journalism, and raises the question: Is A&M just another left-wing institution like the University of Texas?

Not since 1912 have two presidents run against each other. Current polls, pundits and politicos insist that the 2024 race is a sure rematch between former President Donald Trump and incumbent President Joe Biden. It may well turn out that way – but in past election cycles, summer polls 15 months before the general election usually did not mean much. And, its difficult to envision how a frail Biden will hold up.

The Department of Justice has announced it is suing Texas Republican Governor Gregg Abbott for using floating barriers in the Rio Grande river to stop migrants who are breaking U.S. law by illegally crossing the Southern border. . .Gov. Abbot's response to the lawsuit was a terse, "I'll see you in court, Mr. President."

A July 20th Pew Research Poll found that 70% of Democrats think the government should restrict what appears on Social Media. But just ask the Iranians, Russians or Chinese – Democracy cannot survive if one of the nation's two major political parties wants to put blinders on the public, limiting their access to information and canceling political opponents. Democrats need a refresher course on the Constitution & American history.

We had multiple ice ages and heat waves long before we had coal mines, gas-guzzling automobiles and air conditioning. Or human-made CO2 emissions. Or human-made anything. The biggest source of greenhouse gas emissions has been Mother Nature. Forest fires and volcano eruptions have been some of the leading causes of greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere. . . Instead of outlawing cars, how about better forest management?

What you want doesn't matter. It's clear PINO (President-in-name-only) Joe Biden is going to get impeached. What history teaches matters, and what history teaches is that this body of evidence can't go unchallenged. At the end of the day he won't be removed from office, but there's now too much evidence to avoid it – and the GOP'll be forced into it by the sheer magnitude and brazenness of the criminality they've exposed.

Suspicions are the Force Multipliers of the mounting evidence of the Biden Family's corruption. They feed narratives of heartlessness, of the absolute meanness in disowning a granddaughter born out of wedlock to Hunter. They add to the growing list of worry about presidential senility – and result in a caricature of a 1st family utterly out of touch, dysfunctional and increasingly detrimental to the nation at large.

For decades, federal law has prohibited the Defense Department from spending tax dollars on most abortions. -- Forty-two years ago, for example, President Ronald Reagan signed a defense appropriations bill that said, "None of the funds provided by this Act shall be used to perform abortions except where the life of the mother would be endangered if the fetus were carried to term.

News stories have reported that – despite the Supreme Court's recent decision in the cases against Harvard and the University of North Carolina – those and other selective schools still want to employ racial quotas and preferences in admissions. Selective schools say they want student bodies that "look like America." But, whether you like it or not...

No one, of course – in today's race-obsessed culture – has ever objected to the fact that white males died at twice their demographic rate during the wars in Afghanistan & Iraq. That, and numerous other such measures, have always been the hallmark of American Value in our nation's tribally-blind standards that once led the U.S. to outshine the world by discarding old class-race prejudices.

Axios reported this week that "President Biden – behind closed doors – has a temper that sees him yelling at staff and shouting obscenities. In fact, his temper's so bad that some staff try to avoid meeting alone with him." According to website Dementia Care Central, "One common complaint & concern frequently expressed by loved ones of a dementia patient is the use of swear words, foul language."

Joe Biden is the defendant in a lawsuit accused of what Federal District Court Judge Terry Doughty calls "the most massive attack against free speech in United States history" – yet the appeal Biden filed Monday is devoid of even one winning argument in his defense. Count on it to go nowhere. Biden's been caught red-handed violating the Constitution, and Judge Doughty was confirmed 98-0 by U.S. Senate.

Though Joe Biden's poll numbers are currently not much better than Vice President Kamala Harris', the latest Los Angeles Times Poll finds that "41% of Registered Voters had a favorable opinion of Harris, and 53% had an unfavorable opinion – a net rating of -12%." One has to wonder what those 41% see as Harris' accomplishments, because there have been none as far as I can tell.

Love him or hate him, no discussion of the Senate GOP is complete without talking about Mitch McConnell. He's been the dominant force in the Senate for years now… and yet we barely hear anything from him lately. It's no surprise that Senate races are getting short-shrift compared to the Presidential & U.S. House races this year, but don’t overlook them – in fact, look the hell out for them.

The series of decisions handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court in its latest session are so consequential that I would call it "A New Birth of Freedom." These are, of course, the words of Abraham Lincoln at the bloody battlefield at Gettysburg. And, there's a deep and meaningful connection between President Lincoln's words then, in 1863, and the words of our Supreme Court now in 2023.

Millions of Americans might shrug and say, "If Joe Biden, President of the United States, and his criminally minded son can get away with avoiding millions of dollars in taxes, why shouldn't I at least have the right to avoid hundreds of dollars in taxes?" The Bidens, along with Attorney General Merrick Garland, are imperiling a hallowed American tradition – self-reported income tax computation and voluntary compliance.

Contrary to what most Americans assume, affirmative action has never helped poor kids. In fact Harvard favors wealthy kids – only 3% of the Student Body there comes from low-income families. A staggering 67% come from families in the top fifth of the nation's earners. Nearly 75% of Harvard's Black & Hispanic Students come from high-earning families. The real opportunity gap is between rich and poor.

"I hold out enduring hope that this country will live up to its principles so clearly enunciated in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States: that all men are created equal, are equal citizens, and must be treated equally before the law," said Justice Clarence Thomas. ​​​​​​​The last trace of genuine, government-legitimized "systemic racism" in America is no more. Good riddance.

After Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was recently censured by the Republican House for promoting the Russia collusion fiction in the 2020 election, Democrats chanted "shame, shame, shame." It's nice to know they have some standards besides the double standards they usually display.

On June 8th former president Trump's lead over top challenger Gov. Ron DeSantis was 30.3% in the RealClearPolitics average of National Polls. Today Trump's lead over DeSantis is 30.6%. A federal indictment, on top of a local prosecutor's indictment in New York City, seems not to have affected Trump's national poll numbers at all.
