Are Trump's Tariffs Really Tariffs?

Europe acts as if it is recovering from World War II, so it can hit up a supposedly limitless rich American patron with asymmetrical tariffs. Consider the various Trump "tariffs" leveled by an exasperated, and now $36 trillion-indebted, America. Almost none of them meet the traditional definitions of an industry-protecting tariff. Instead, they are the last-gasp tools of American leverage used only when decades of bipartisan diplomacy, summits, entreaties, and empty threats have all failed.

“For too long, HUD has been run by appointees more focused on advocating for pet political projects than the agency’s primary missions of improving housing affordability and helping communities recover from disasters. Texan Scott Turner, as the 19th Secretary of the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Affairs, will bring the Lone Star spirit of commonsense, accountability and efficiency," said Land Comm. HUNTER: USAID May Be Only Thing Democrats Love More Than Abortion

Because you’re a normal person with a life who doesn’t have time to monitor the 1,000s of federal government agencies that squander tax dollars while subsidizing progressive policies around the world, there’s a better than average chance you’ve never heard of USAID, the United States Agency for International Development. But, now we can see why Democrats get so upset at the idea of auditing the books and shining a little sunlight on government.

POLITICO: That 'Fascist, State-Run Media Operation' Democrats Feared Trump Would Create? THEY Did It

This is what a state-run media operation looks like. ALEXANDER: Trump’s Tariffs Aren’t Going to Increase Prices, Despite Democrats’ Fearmongering

The left's gleefully predicting that President Trump’s proposed tariffs will exacerbate the nation's already high costs of goods & services caused by "Bidenflation." But the CEO of South Korea’s Hyundai says investing in the U.S. is the best antidote to tariffs, and is considering building a plant here. Germany's Audi and Porsche are considering doing the same. Joe Biden's Press Sect. Karine Jean-Pierre even said they’re “all about protecting American workers and businesses.”

CONG. BABIN: Since January 23rd, ICE has Arrested 9,000+ Dangerous Offenders & Deportations Are Underway

The mandate the American people handed Republicans in November is clear: it’s time to reverse the deeply harmful policies of the last four years and restore the values that have made our nation strong. Last week, I had the privilege of joining President Trump and Vice President Vance in Miami, where I’ve been working closely with my House Republican colleagues to lay out a bold blueprint for getting America back on track.

Last Wednesday, I had the honor of attending President Trump’s signing of the Laken Riley Act — a law that will help keep our communities safe. This bill is named after Laken Riley, a young nursing student who was tragically killed by an illegal immigrant with a criminal record. THOMAS: The Changing Media Landscape

When White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced last week that the White House Briefing Room would be open to reporters for "new media" – including podcasters & websites – she was acknowledging the power and reach of the outlets that now-President Donald Trump made himself available to, which were ignored by Democrat Kamala Harris. The one constant among resisters to change, is that they are left behind when the change comes.
