HUNTER: How Long Are We Going to Keep Doing This?

Donald Trump didn’t need the Old Guard – and by “old” I don’t mean age – and they resented him for it. It was stupid, as most desperate power grabs are. Trump wasn’t going to throw them out, he needed help since he’d never been in politics before. But just the concept of him being in office was so offensive to the “pinky-out, tea sipping crowd” that they passed on the prospect of achieving more of what they’d spent their adult lives professing they’d done. What the hell are we doing?

CONG. WEBER: Biden Attacks U.S. Energy Leadership & Texas with LNG Export Ban, as Failed Border Agenda Continues

On January 26th, President Joe Biden inexplicably announced an indefinite ban on pending LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) Export Projects. It will cost our communities along the Gulf and across Texas countless jobs – and lead to so much unnecessary uncertainty. We are talking about jobs. We're talking about American energy, about clean energy. We are talking about the future of the greatest Nation the world has ever known – and the fact that our allies don't have to rely on Russia for their energy if it comes from the United States.

Cong. Gonzales Bill to Jail Criminal Migrants Earns Backing of National & Texas Sheriffs’ Associations

“With more than 513,000 State Criminal Offenses – including murder, sexual assault & robbery – many of these criminal aliens remain in our jails for weeks or months, unable to secure bond due to their immigration status. By providing Federal Funds to offset the costs on State & Local Governments, including County Jails, we'd uphold our commitment to public safety while easing the strain," said Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne, who serves as Legislative Chair for the Texas Sheriffs’ Association which is backing Gonzales's effort.

ARNOLD: Has the Worm Turned? Companies are Moving Away from ESG

Big news in the world of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) the past few weeks: JP Morgan Chase, BlackRock & State Street Global Investors have backed away from a multi-national alliance intended to fight "climate change." That's welcome news for taxpayers, as many of these initiatives advocate for bad policies – like higher taxes and more regulatory red tape. Americans have become increasingly skeptical of politicians who place excessive emphasis on "the environment," and use them as pawns in their culture wars.

GOV. ABBOTT's New York Post Editorial: Texas Has the Constitutional Right to Defend Itself from Invasion

One of the most crucial rights granted in the U.S. Constitution is a state’s ability to secure its own border. James Madison, the “Father of the Constitution,” emphasized that Article I, Section 10, Clause 3 would allow Virginia’s state militia “to be called forth to suppress smugglers” who had endangered their state. Today, Texas faces a similar but starker threat than Virginia’s smugglers – Mexican drug cartels that operate as paramilitary forces on our border.

Sen. Cruz authored and introduced a resolution cosponsored by Sen. Cornyn highlighting that Texas farmers are experiencing acute water shortages and supporting diplomacy to ensure that Mexico fulfills its treaty obligations to provide annual deliveries of water. In October, Sen. Cruz secured a vote in the Senate for a related amendment he authored, requiring the Secretary of State to utilize the full range of American diplomacy to secure Mexican compliance with its treaty obligations.

Red State Governors Compete to Cut Taxes, Blue States Fall Further Behind

Republican-controlled states are continuing to achieve exciting policy wins, including more than two-dozen state income tax cuts since 2020. Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina have led the way. Three of those states have no income tax, Georgia and South Carolina recently cut their income taxes, and North Carolina has led the long-term move to flatten and reduce income taxes, now ratcheting down to a 2.49% rate.

ERINAKES: Voters, Beware of Elites' Name-Calling & Messaging Purchased with Out-of-District Dollars

It only takes one trip to the mailbox – or these days to your Inbox or Social Media & Text Streams – to be overwhelmed by political candidates trying to out-conservative each other. What was once a constant stream of ideas, is now essentially cow-nuggets thrown up against the wall to see what sticks. The mail onslaught can sometimes tell you which candidate's taken the most out-of-district money – and in the recent House Dist. 2 Special Election, conservative Jill Dutton overcame it by focusing on her opponent's contributors.

HANSON: The Eerie Commonalities in Today's Blue State Laws for Red-Blooded Conservative Citizens

We are entering a dangerous era in America. Ideology & Party Affiliation are increasingly determining guilt – and if Democrats are successful – punishment in the Court of Public Opinion. Opponents are targeted, laws are being twisted, created on the fly or redefined to convict. The left is waging law fare with an implicit message to its political opponents, and there are eerie commonalities in all five of the cases involving Donald Trump. For one, they are either unapologetically left-wing or associated with liberal causes.

TAB Chairman VILLARREAL: Why I Travelled from Texas to Israel During a War

Texans – as proud citizens of the world’s 8th Largest Economy – see in Israel a natural partner for collaboration. We share common ground with Israel's innovation economy, making us ideal partners for continued support of Israel's "Start Up Nation." Many Israeli companies – including Alon Energy, Elbit Systems, and NICE – have already established a presence in Texas, while Texas-based companies continue to support Israel’s capacity to defend itself. In fact, Israel’s F-35 combat planes are manufactured in Ft. Worth.

Another Biden Ploy to End American Energy Production puts U.S. Energy Security at Risk

“The Biden Administration’s decision to pause approvals of new LNG export facilities – citing a potential to raise domestic energy prices – is another baseless ploy to end American energy production. These decisions squander the American energy leadership that starts in Texas – and puts energy security worldwide at risk,” said Texas Oil & Gas Assoc. president Todd Staples, as the group released a new study showing natural gas prices hit a 30 year low in mid-February – as LNG exports neared record highs.
