Governor Greg Abbott today highlighted new data published by the Texas Dept. of State Health Services that shows an almost 20% decrease in fentanyl-related poisoning deaths over the past year. On the Texas fentanyl data dashboard, the new DSHS data shows at least 430 fewer Texans died due to a fentanyl-related poisoning in the last 12 months when compared with the previous year. "Texas will continue to combat this nationwide crisis to protect more innocent lives from being lost to the scourge of fentanyl,” said Gov. Abbott.
"According to your agency's Guidance, failure to use the preferred names and pronouns an individual asks to be addressed with ‘contribute[s] to an unlawful hostile work environment.’ In other words, anyone can change their names and pronouns, compel coworkers to use that name or pronoun, or face disciplinary action. Perhaps more egregious than the position related to pronoun usage is the policy on bathroom, locker room, and lactation room usage," said Senators Ted Cruz, James Lankford, and others to Health & Human Services Sect. Beginning Monday, Oct. 21st, Harmony Charter Schools announced it will pay each Exempt (Salaried) employee’s annual salary a bonus stipend in the amount of 6%. The stipend is the latest in several similar compensation boosts the school has offered employees in recent years. Most recently, Harmony paid employees a similar 5% bonus in November 2023, and teachers can also earn a variety of stipends each year for sponsoring school clubs, teaching in hard-to-staff locations or high-priority subjects, or even just taking professional development courses.

Over 20 million ballots have been cast thus far, but, “We don't know yet if this is a shifting of furniture, or an added strength for Republicans.”
If there was ever any real value to the “momentum” or "joy" or “vibes” that Kamala Harris's Campaign claimed, it's quickly becoming an express elevator to hell.
