Independent & Democrat Voters Drive New CBS Poll: 75% Say Border in 'Crisis' or 'Very Serious'

With a total of 75% of Americans saying the border situation is in "a crisis" or is "very serious" – and with the change in sentiment being driven primarily by Democrat and Independent Voters – a significant 63% majority of "American Adult Residents," the highest percentage seen yet in polls, now believe Joe Biden “should be tougher” on immigrants trying to cross the border. And, most don't want illegal immigrants to remain in the U.S. while waiting for their far-in-the-future hearings to take place.

CONG. CARTER: The Verdict's in on My 2023 Work for Texas' 31st District

As a chairman on the Appropriations Committee, I secured over $73 million in the FY2024 House Appropriations bills for Texas' 31st Congressional District. From infrastructure improvements to supporting law enforcement and education, I'm devoted to bringing resources to our Congressional District that improve the lives of Central Texans. In response to the "defund the police" movement, Local Law Enforcement's recruitment has been damaged, putting us all at risk.

HUNTER: Not A Good Week for Nikki Haley

Nikki Haley isn’t dumb, though you might be able to convince me otherwise now after the way she’s continually stuck her foot in her mouth. I wonder if she’s trying to sabotage her chances even at a VP nomination or if she's always been this bad of a candidate, and I just wasn’t paying attention to her. Both are possible, but neither would surprise me. Nikki Haley isn’t dumb, though.

Sen. CRUZ: ‘The U.S. Economy's Far too Dependent on Foreign Manufacturing’ – Especially China

“Right now the United States is far too dependent on foreign manufacturing – particularly in advanced semiconductors. That’s a vulnerability, and it's a vulnerability in particular to China that's intolerable," said Texas Senator Ted Cruz earlier today during a Texas A&M Health Science Center Roundtable & Press Conference, which focused on the accelerated construction of semiconductor manufacturing plants he pushed in the CHIPS Act. His efforts unanimously passed with bipartisan support at the end of December.

MOORE: You Want to Talk Election Integrity? Illinois Just Looked Under a Rock & Found 46,000 People

Illinois should probably have lost another Congressional Seat after the 2020 Census – as should have New York. But just as The Left used the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic to change who knows how many long-standing Voting Rules in key states across the country, they also used the virus to change the way the Census was conducted. And now there's good reason to suspect that counting errors cost Red States like Florida, Texas and Arizona as many as 3-to-4 Congressional Seats.

GOV. ABBOTT: New York City's Lawsuit Against Bus Companies Transporting Illegal Immigrants Violates Their Constitutional Rights

"This lawsuit is baseless and deserves to be sanctioned. Every migrant bused or flown to New York City did so voluntarily – after, it should be noted, having been authorized by the Biden White House to remain in our country. As such, they have a Constitutional Right to travel across the country, which Mayor Adams is interfering with. Their Constitutional Right to travel has been recognized by the U.S. Supreme Court, and if the Mayor persists, he may be held legally accountable for his violations."

HANSON: Harvard May Be Out of the Frying Pan, But its Now Into the Fire

Harvard may be assuming that the forced resignation of its President Claudine Gay has ended its long-simmering scandal – but Gay's removal is not the end of the school's dilemma, it's the beginning. Gay stepped down, remember, amid serious allegations of serial plagiarism – without refuting the charges! And she proved neither able or willing to discipline those on the campus who were defiantly anti-semitic in speech, or in action. In respective, racial animus was cited as a reason for her removal.

Entering 2024 with Strong Financial Investment Strategies

Since 1952, the stock market's S&P 500 Index has averaged a 7.0% gain during Presidential Election years. So with 2024 being an Election Year – and with the economy being one of the top concerns for virtually every American Voter – there's great uncertainty as to what to expect. While a 7% annual gain isn’t bad, it doesn’t compare to the 17% average the S&P typically gains the year prior to an election. Are you one of the 70% of Americans who say they have a 2024 financial plan goal?

As Border Concerns Escalate, Cong. Cuellar & Sen. Cruz Celebrate Historic South Texas Border Bridge Expansions

Though unknown to virtually every American across the United States, the South Texas city of Laredo is the nation’s Largest Port of Entry – with an astonishing 7.6 million vehicle crossings during 2023. (Think 18-wheelers loaded with groceries & commercial goods!) So Congressman Henry Cuellar & Senator Ted Cruz's celebration earlier today of the passage of their proposal to reform the Presidential Permitting Process for Border Bridges, including the World Trade Bridge expansion in Laredo, was no small deal.

THOMAS: Harvard's Dismissal of President Gay Is Just a Symptom – Not the Cause of the Problem

The resignation of Harvard's president Claudine Gay – after "facing national backlash for her response to Hamas' Oct. 7th attack, and allegations of plagiarism in her scholarly work" – does not solve the problem of America's oldest college... or those of many other of the nation's supposedly "elite" Colleges & Universities. She and many other university presidents are only a symptom of what's wrong with the country's system of higher education – and it exists from bottom, to top.
